Actually I didn't - the clip keeps crashing my phone.

Is it more explosive than the thread that followed it?

The clip or this thread? Lol.

I got 2 minutes in with a still of Les and someone's silhouetted head moving a la cinema and then it went strobe lighting on me.

I'll try at work tomorrow with headphones (if Nines doesn't condemn this thread to the fiery chasms of hell).

    Excellent. Thank you.

(as long as it's not as prolific as the Facebook assault they do on me, although it does make me feel popular at least!)

I've noticed that Swords Hoopster and QPRNY have had a degree of repartee between them over the last few weeks. Nothing too sinister, but a few jokes about Swords being Irish and NY about being a dumb American ( Which is quite funny in itself because he isn't American. I think? )
I did notice one post from NY aimed at Swords about him being a 'Pikey' which I found distasteful but let it go as I didn't receive a complaint about it and Swords is more than capable of dealing with anything thrown his way.

Which brings us to this thread, and we'll have to treat it as a stand alone undertaking of what's gone on for the sake of brevity. To bring up every altercation between the two posters is something I don't possess the time to do.

    Here's the timeline of events....

The first post of note is QPRNY's. ' Yes, I heard you love blokes.'

Which is the first shot across the bows.

Swords makes a couple of posts in the meantime ignoring the initial snipe. Swords then asks UTR's for some IT advice to which NY responded with... 'Get on of the kids from the local nursery to show you!'

Swords finally bites at this point ... '' You'd know all about kids in the nursery Forest. How's that Santa gig going this year?

"Sit on my lap little boy, I'll show you what's in my sack" And on it goes as stated in the quotes above.

QPRNY then accuses Swords of calling him a *****phile. He didn't. The initial reference to children was made by QPRNY. So Swords could well of claimed the same argument in the first instance.

They then revert to their previous schoolground patter, although QPRNY does make a bizarre reference to being in the army and operational in Ireland. Which I find quite unsettling.

As it stands I'm taking no action. I feel that both posters are old enough and ugly enough to stop this nonsense here and now. I suggest that they refrain from responding to each other with personal insults for a minimum of three months unless it's non-confrontational and is only football related.

I'll leave this thread open for any comments relating to my post if for whatever reason you may disagree with it.

Thanks to everyone who responded on this thread to try and quell any further outbursts. I was out on an Xmas do tonight and missed all the drama. :emoticon-0120-doh:

That seems very fair and even Nines and I think even NY and Swords calmed it down into their normal repartee (I think and I think that's the word I meant too).

    Top work Mr Mod! :)

Hope it was a good do and their were no unpleasant head injuries or spilt drinks over suits (when I say suits, I mean the kind that Noel Edmunds would wear).

Nines, you're a patient and fair man and I have nothing but admiration for what you do.

Your modding work on here is very much appreciated by the vast majority, please don't forget that.

    This.

Sorry for the aggro Ninesy. Me and NY will stop the banter from now on.

Watched this last night - I've seen him do punditry a bit but was still impressed by how assured and personable he is.

He speaks very brightly about the youth system and the politics behind the game although the way he talks, I wonder if he will get bored if he isn't more readily involved in the footballing side.

I also liked his comments about the club philosophy coming from the board but their input into the day-to-day running of the club stopping there.

Happily see him as a potential manager for the future and am chuffed that he's a decent guy because that cements his place as one of my favourites ever.
