I don't think CM was all that bad. We had Carrick and Fletcher as the more defensive or combative CM, Anderson and Cleverly as the more creative type and others like Giggs who would also play there. Trouble is three of them have been out almost all season. Maybe SAF will look to offload some and bring others in, maybe he'll just strengthen. But if Anderson, Cleverly and Fletcher had been available for most the campaign I don't think everyone would be looking at this as an inferior United team.
To easy to resist smacking him down This. Whilst SAF has shown a lot of faith in players like De Gea, Evans and Carrick who lesser managers might have ditched long ago, it's the players who have stepped up a level to prove that he was right all along. As many other managers this season have found out, you can't polish a turd. Thankfully SAF is polishing a few very valuable gems
Ferguson has nothing left to prove.I'm not sure how much he psychs out the opposition but there are elements to his style that definitely give his team a huge advantage.Look at the Tevez/Balotelli situation.Ferguson would have had them out of OT with his boot up their a***s. Mancini, who is in many respects a good manager has backtracked and appeased this pair of clowns. They have destroyed City's aspirations but all credit to Ferguson, definitely Number 1.
