Hull FC fans warned of train disruptions ahead of Sunday's game
Anyone heading to a major event by rail this Sunday should seek alternative transport

Hull FC fans are warned of train disruptions caused by strikes ahead of Sunday's game against Catalans Dragons at MKM Stadium.
Rail services will be disrupted on Sunday with strike action by the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union due to cause widespread disruption to TransPennine Express (TPE) services. The train company will only be operating a small number of trains on its North and South routes and is strongly recommending customers avoid travel and travel either side of the strike date instead.
With a combination of the strikes and engineering work on the West Coast Mainline, there will be no TPE services running between Manchester, Liverpool Lime Street, Preston and Scotland on Sunday. Customers are urged to either seek alternative transport or travel on Saturday or Monday instead.

If you wanted a definition for ****-shower train franchise who couldn't run a ****ing railway timetable to save their lives and laughably sell First Class tickets which differ only from cattle class by chucking a small packet of biscuits at you whilst telling you that the toilets are out of order, then TransPennine is your man.

It's not a criticism of your tips - which are much appreciated - rather a comment on TransPennine's inability to get a train from A to B when they say they will.
Or indeed, at all.
In the late 90s I had a season ticket between Swindon and London. One year they had an absolutely appalling service and it turned out they owed me £750 which was a significant amount of money to me at the time. For some reason or another I can't remember they were taking absolutely forever to pay it out.
So as GWR had their head office in Swindon I went in and asked to speak to the compensation manager with and said I wasn't leaving until I had a cheque in my hand.
Much to my surprise with 40 mins I walked out with a cheque for the £750 smackers in my hand pleased as punch. 4 days later another cheque arrived in the post for another £750
Both of them cleared
