Sinclair was a fairly wealthy man anyway, most footballers are not short of a few bob whatever league they are in. Leon was paid £1,000 + per week when he first joined us in league two and that was 10 years ago. Sinclair was a cracking player for us so much so that the premiership champions came in for him and bought him.....So he must have impressed and showed that he has some quality about him. They obviously never bought him to go straight into the first team and he will have known that but when a team like man city want you then its going to be a hard choice to turn down whatever part you are going to play for them. Fair play he did play for them and has been on the bench but the main reason what i personally think is city needed a few British born player in their squad and sinclair fitted the bill at the right time.... as for him not being as good at the end is another myth as most players go through a lean patch at some point and sinclair was no different. I would love to see him back here and his wages would not be a problem as he was reported that his wages had only gone up slightly and i bet that michu is on more than sinclair is on now....
Yes sinclair has done well for us in the past. We as a club have moved on. Would the way we play now suit Sinclair. He would in my opinion be no improvement on what we have now and i would prefer better players than what we have now. Yes he scored a few goals for us but quite a lot were from the penalty spot.
Trunds our players today are struggling to play to laudrups instructions so what difference would it make....our subs are bizarre to say the least and we are not moving on we are going backwards at a rate of knots.....you analyze the second half of the season where laudrup started to change our playing style and it don't look good at all, Like someone said he fears next season and he does have a point if we continue to play laudrups way...
