I was gutted when Rodgers and then Allen left, but it's worked out so much better, and I'm now glad they've gone. What a turnaround. Cannot wait for Pablo's debut.
Laudrup said he won't play on Saturday, as he needs time to settle in. In today's Evening Post I think.
That's to be expected, Casual. Moving to a different country, not sure if there are language problems, not trained with the team. Pretty inevitable I think. Hopefully we can show him what we're about on Saturday when he watches us from the stands.
Vetch well said. Don't agree re Rodgers though. Martinez, yes, he was and still is an important part of our journey but Rodgers was just a hitch-hiker. We wouldn't be where we are now without Martinez' massive influence. He changed our DNA, kick-starting our evolution from a lower league club to premier league giant. Rodgers was unemployed when the board found him. He'd been dumped by Reading the same way he dumped Watford. Our club was presented to him in-situ (as a stylish ball playing team); and backed by an open and progressive board with a common philosophy to match their ambition. Rogers suited us, not the other way around and he did well for us continuing our momentum. I'm sure though that there are many other managers who could have done the same for us as he did; Poyet, Jones, Zola et al This is why, I feel, Rogers should not be mentioned in the same breath as Martinez. I also believe that basically Martinez is a good guy at heart but I don't feel this for Rodgers.
You have a point Stumpy - apart from the fact that none of those you named would have signed Sinclair.
Rodgers , Allen & Sinclair gone .... just leave the 30 million on the table . If someone told me weed get 30 million for the three amigos a year ago I would have laughed . The very best of luck & a hardy thank you to all three but a bigger welcome to Laudrup , Michu , Chico , Ki , De Guzman & a bunch of extra money
We can beg to differ over Rodgers,Stumpy, and that's O.K. "I'm sure though that there are many other managers who could have done the same for us as he did...",but he did it,and the others, well, maybe they would have, maybe they wouldn't. Anyway, exciting times ahead for the new look Swansea City.
60 today & not very happy about it , I'm starting all over with everything I can start over . Going to quit my job (37 years worth ) & see if I can do anything else . It's turned into an unexpected crisis for me when I woke up this morning . For the first time ... I feel old
60 is the new 50, mate. I'll be there in another 8, so I'm counting on it. With any luck I'll be retired by then and SCUBA diving off the back of my boat in the Med with the Mrs. Gotta have plans no matter how old you are. Good luck with it!
It could get a lot better Talksport reckon with add on's we could eventually get closer to 8 Mill for Scotty Happy Days
yep good luck to Scott, he played a big part in getting us to the prem and living the dream http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2012/August/Sinclair-signs
