9.5 million "pot" for wages, transfers and anything else is an absolutely appalling amount. Bates needs to get it in his head that just because other clubs have done it in the past, there were other factors involved. Leeds United as a club has a massive advantage over the rest of the Championship in that we can actually afford to buy players and pay players what other clubs can't without the need for outside investment or parachute payments, yet he nullifies that in favour of getting by with the bare minimum and putting all the money into useless crap. Provided he actually ****s off and lets someone with half a brain run the club, the attendances will go up, merchandise sales will go up and we'll be knocking on the door of 40 million turnover - enough to stand shoulder to shoulder with clubs on parachute payments.

He's just a dick, a poor businessman only interested in himself who needs to **** off as soon as possible.

Does Bates own any other businesses? Just wondering if the recession is hurting another interest that he might have and he is using Leeds Utd to prop it up?

He owns loads of other businesses with his corrupt mates. Just they are all shrouded in trust funds so you don't see any of it. He's a crook.

Then I assume things like his 'personal legal expenses' and his accountant fees etc are all lumped together and it wouldn't surprise me if the club were paying for it all one way or another.

no offence mate but where have you been for the last 4 years? We've all worked this out a long, long time ago. We all know we're paying for stuff he should be paying for himself, he's a crook.

Better than 12 fingers like the Norfolk people have.
Just noticed your propping up the Fantasy football league Mighty, what, with the 'Wall in yet another annual relegation dogfight, there's just no end to your pain and heartache mate. <laugh>

I don't understand how Grayson has said we have a transfer pot and he intends to spend it all, yet Bates says we're £2mil over budget. How does that work? Especially considering in past transfer windows he's always said he's got a budget, but isn't going to spend it on unecessary players, only players who are better then what we've got already...

£9.5 million a year means we need a squad of about 20 players to compete for promotion paying decent wages (9k a week)

That is not a realistic table. The Leeds numbers are from 2 seasons ago when you were in League 1.

Interesting that even though you spent double what we did on wages you only finished 1 point ahead of us <laugh>

TC, what that shows is that we were paying more in wages alone in League 1 than we are in wages, agents fees and transfer fees now! You're probably paying more than us!

That table is for what the club spends on total wages for the WHOLE club.

Ours is about 15m this season

It's not enough, simples. Bates needs to go. Like I said before, we have the resources to give ourselves a massive advantage over other clubs in what we can spend on transfer fees and wages but refuse to use it because Bates has an unhealthy obsession with property development.
