The guy is just a proper pro! Always rated him, especially as he was kicked around through previous, unmentionable, management. Played really well in league one and made the step up very well, often playing out of position but NEVER complaining.

He's a cult hero at carrow road and Although others deserve a goal for their efforts (Bennett, Tierney and Naughton all come to mind) I just want SO BADLY for him to score.

A player with excellent ability and a work ethic that has defined the lambert era, risen from the ashes!

I salute you, King of Spain!

Does PL know he's moonlighting as a model?
Seriously, couldn't agree more. Need guys like him at a club.

Top bloke, deserves all the credit he gets.

top bloke

i've a mate who went to the fulham game, he's a fulham fan - he saw when all the norwich players were arriving, people were asking the top guys for the autographs. simon lappin just walks past with his wife and kid in the pushchair - i don't think anybody asks him - he just gets on with it. Top guy <ok>

shame motty couldn't remember his and half our teams names on monday - 'shot by wright philipps, blocked by ruddy, and it's cleared by.. a norwich player'

The worst bit of commentary was when he said the ball "struck" Whitbread on the head and again saying how it "hit him as he dived". Er, no Motty, that was an absolutely superb piece of defending and I'm sure if John Terry had done it we would have had Hansen drooling in the studio claiming him "back to his best".

Also just want to echo the plaudits for Simon Lappin, a top top fella who will never, ever let anybody down - kinda the antithesis of Joey Barton <ok>

Absolutely, no one would have blamed him if he left during those dark days, a truly great guy. Now all we need is a goal Mr. Lappin, preferably in front of the Barclay and on the volley, that would be sweet!
