Well, it looks as though SG is moving on to Sunderland. Personally, I think that is a backward step for him. Sunderlan d may having more resources and the drop down booty from the Premiership, but the team is a bunch of misfits. They have lost their best player, Gordon Pickford, and it will be a couple of years to sort the club out. Meanwhile, he has welded together a youthful team at PNE and I certainly anticipate PNE to surprise pundits by going better than the play-offs. If Moyse could not motivate the Black Cats, who can? Perhaps only Big Sam? I cannot see the Black Cats returning to the Premiership immediately. One other point is that PNE is a stable club with steady but not spectacular senior management. A warning. Many punters at PNE did not like SG's style of playing. If the Sunderlland supporters are expecting fluent, fast paced football...forget it.
Mixed reaction from the Sunderland fans. Expected a big name. Rumours that he will take PNE's young guns with him!
