He annoys me to no end. I admit my stream was f*ckin up 2nd half so I obviously missed his amazing 2 tackles. 1st half is was abysmal.

 

I think Simpson is a mediocre-poor PL team defender. What I mean is, he could be competant in a team that finishes between relegation and 14th, and I agree he is a frustrating player for the most part. But I'm all for giving credit where it's due and there have been times this season that he has surprised me and played well so to say that everything he does is **** I just can't agree with at all.

 

I don't think he had a bad game at all yesterday, though I do think the Taylor handball and subsequent mauling on here helped cover up the fact that he let Clichy past him far too easily to get the cross in in the first place.

He's physically excellent, its the easily coachable issues that need to improve. Backing off is the obvious one, but his tendancy to drift inside and basically hide behind Taylor or Colo is infuriating, especially when its so obvious with the number of times he then has to sprint out to meet his actual man on the wing. I don't know where Obertans got this reputation for not tracking back from, he's often dealing with opposing winger and fullback because Simpsons gone walkies. Frustrating really because it is solvable, I just hope he does at some point.

 

playing a game of football is a lot different to moving away from your family to a different country in a time of grief, so i wouldnt say it wasnt a factor

There's nothing wrong with having a blog but you don't half set yourself up for a pisstake with that huge, obnoxious signature and the regular self-promoting despite the fact that few people here care.

When I first started I admit I got a bit of an oversized hard-on over it....but so what. Where's the harm. Cant remember the last time I even mentioned it.
