So now i have to find people who are Michu age , whats the difference. Your known or unknown .. quit changing the goalposts valley .
Siggy wasn't a 'normal' sale. We didnt sell him he was never our player. He was on loan from Hoffenheim. However he chose not to sign for us after we made an offer to buy him because BR had left for Liverpool. I didnt compare the sale I compared the fact that he too didnt thank the fans before leaving added to the fact that he said that he didnt want to stay after BR left. Yet Michu has been castigated for no longer wanting to be here, after the manager that brought him here left and some fans would be happy "never to see him in a Swans shirt again". However Siggy is being welcomed with open arms. As I said Fickle Fans make me laugh. Fo rteh record I am chuffed to bits Siggy is back and gutted Michu has gone and totally understand the reasons both players have made the decisions that they have. After all its a job/career for them nad I will always respect their decisions whether I am armed with the facts about why they want to do what they want to do.
Valley i give you Bony, But unless we get 20 goals combined from gylfi and Gomis then no. I know he didnt score last year but Bony carried us. Michu certainly carried us in terms of goals the season before. But to compare them is a bit silly. Both do things differently and both are better at certain things.
I ain't comparing them I'm stating that during Michu's first season we were a one man team in terms of goals, the same can be said last year. This season however with Bony and Gomis up front, with Gylfi providing assists creating chances/scoring goals, we are in a stronger position now than we were two seasons ago.
I think it depends on JDG to be honest he was our other source of goals last season and it would have been more apt to try and compare those 2. Both like the dead ball and like to create and If i am honest I think I prefer siggy. A lot will depend on us keeping Bony. If we do i do agree there looks to be more goals in us this year than there has in the past.
You mean a stronger position than the idea of Michu and Bony up front that we thought of this time last year. Yeah we all know how that thought turned out
ITs not like ML had much choice, when Bony first arrived he was unfit, so didn't play enough, then when he was starting to look good, Michu was out. They never really played much together, so its hard for it to work, when they didn't play much.
despite the poor performances last year and questionable atitude, watching that video of all those Michu goals go in actually brought a tear to my eye (especially that Arsenal game - what a day that was!). sad that we will never see that again but also grateful that we witnessed his talent here and tbh i hope he sorts his head out and realises his ability again - he was a VERY special player and we shouldnt forget that. however now I am just as excited about the Siggy - Bony/Gomis partnership - good times ahead I think!
I dont think ML was that exicted about michu at the beginning, but he is a bit awkward player like but without a real striker, michu had to be getting goals. so a lot of support was shown and his confidence went sky high, he lived of it. without laudrup, and the same feel around the team it will probably too difficult for him. he is a bit of an awkard player like. but with confidence and desire he can fightlike no other, really fast, strong wins headers and lethal infront o f goal. he as amazing to watch, but I think this was probably the right move for both involved. Sigurdsson you can't really go wrong with him at this point in his career , he knows Garry, Swansea etc. I'd go for siggy over michu if I had my own team
I agree with this, but I would like to add that while Michu's first season was one to remember, his second was not, it was the complete opposite and while I can make every allowance for his injury, I cannot make any allowance for his bad attitude, his petulance and his refusal to play for us again while under contract, and I know that Huw Jenkins and Monk would have bent over backwards to get him to see sense, and clearly his going out on loan tells me all I need to know, and that is why I no longer have ant time for Michu, he has undone all his first seasons great work, and shown what an immature unprofessional person he is, and the sooner he is sold the better, all I want is him off the books, and Canas too, I would sooner trust Huw Jenkins and Garry monk over some petulant one season wonder that is here today and gone tomorrow, most half decent players say their fair-wells to their supporters, and I cannot remember any other player that has refused to wear the Swansea shirt while under contract, I hope Huw gets shot of him sooner than later!..............
I said we NEEDED Michu more than he NEEDED us valley , we would have beenl lost without him our best season ever .
