I agree with you Tobes. I'm certainly not predicting mid-table obscurity. As I said somewhere-else they'll be thereabouts but always the bridesmaid until the new leader can be found - and that could take a long time!

The thing is, the players know that if they fall out of the top four it will be Moyes that takes the **** while they can **** off relatively unscathed. I don't think it will happen, but they do have a couple of petulant little bitches in that squad.

    <laugh> epic fail by Moyes

There are signs Ferguson's effect has already started to dissipate. The complete lack of discipline evidenced by the number of cards and petulant behaviour in the game on Sunday would never have been tolerated by Ferguson. Their heads have rarely gone like that before and Moyes has a new challenge on his hands to fix that.

Or the fact that Ferguson isn't on the sidelines anymore, refs no longer fear the wrath of the Sith Lord?

Twice as many yellow cards as us even with being lucky not to lose Carrick and RVP.

Agree with you both. The severity was worse. Could easily have had two sent off.

Too early to tell anything for sure yet... but I think Utd will have a fight to stay in top 4 this year.

Give Moyes a couple seasons and he will be there regularly... but this season is going to be tough for united.

How they handle being not at the very top could decide if they rebound or drop. If they are too reflexive and kick moyes out early think they could start a vicious Chelsea style cycle.

Unfortunately they will still finish top 3. Don't know if Moyes is the right man or not. On early season showings I'd say no but they are still the champions and, while fellaini might not be a 'Wow' signing he's still a useful addition.
Top 3 but hope I'm wrong and its them battling for europa league spot while we return in glory to the champions league.

That's your opinion. Some of us believe that the tide has turned for United and that top 3 even cannot be guaranteed.

I never said top 3 would be guaranteed buts it my opinion that that's where they will finish.

I thought Mariner had a great game as ref. I remember during the game keep thinking he was spot on.

He managed to tame the worst behaviour without having to send anyone off.

Thought he was fair to both teams too.
