have we signed a utility player from latics? wigan or oldham. sorry think i caught something on twitter.

Fraser Fyvie, Scottish Under 21 International midfielder - may prove a decent acquisition. It looks like we will have to go the loan option for the rest of the season but the team does need a lift.

thanks matt, for providing the links. this a great signing another international. big question is did graham start this signing off or was a general jackson job. either way it will help town piss all over piss awful swindle on a very heavy ground. floreat salopoia!

Marsden has left the club. Rather touchingly I got a 'favourite' off his mum for a tweet I sent him!!

We are hearing League One trio MK Dons, Bristol City and Shrewsbury are all chasing Aldershot hit-man Brett Williams. Former Reading man Williams has impressed at Aldershot this season, netting 19 goals so far this season and Aldershot are bracing themselves for offers for the striker before the close of the transfer window.

Tinned Hats is that the type of player we should be after? I guess if MK Donks are after him we won't have much of a chance.

Obviously would have been on the radar and it would have been decided that he could not cut it 3 leagues above. Scoring goals against AFC Tinpot is little recommendation.

well we couldn't cut it with Hereford United in the F.A Cup last season..two tin pot leagues below!!....and has he been on our radar? or are we just happy to only look at clubs higher in the divisions and get their cast offs in, which is obvious is not working, they have had him for a pittance, and if he makes the grade, they could make quite a bit of cash on him at 24, years old...58 goals in 95 as got to be worth a small risk for a club like ours!

I'm with tinned hats on this one......look at Le Fondre, where did he start?

That video showed several things....coolness in the box....now, I hear you say, there was poor defending BUT at a higher level you'll get fouled and may win a penalty. Then there was the willingness to throw oneself around a bit....always a good idea to have a bit of passion. The whole team tried to play a bit of football; it doesn't mean all teams at that level are cloggers.

I'll bet his wages at Wrecsham (sic!) could easily have been met, even by tight fisted strugglers like us......and if he didn't work out nobody loses much, if he does work out everybody's happy.

ive been saying this all along, even if its only short term contract, these loanees we are getting are just not showing the passion with the likes of a Shrewsbury lad like Durrell would do who would be hungry for success!

I would be happy to have someone successful brought in from the lower leagues but they need to be sat in a squad with competition in it, especially mature proven players.

Matster,
What is this baggage? - you can tell us. If he reproduces that wonder goal he scored against us a few times I think I can forgive him!

more baggage for us i think 'On his day he can destroy teams' well we have heard that one before...enjoy your month Nathaniel.... feeling depressed:emoticon-0120-doh:

Quite optimistic about the signings, obviously might feel different after a match or two.
