I think AVB has been very measured in his interviews so far, his incoherence is another matter! but he does them with calculated responses to protect his team, despite coming across as having watched a different game at times! So in this instance I don't think it was a slip of the tongue, but a planned release of info at what is hopefully the right time, or not too far away from the right time.
A developer hoarded off a very large chunk of central Luton town as far back as 2005 and submitted its plans. It is still hoarded off today. A developer evicted a great many tenants/residents along Brentford High Street and hoarded it off several years ago. It is still hoarded off today. Basically what I am saying is that buying up properties, emptying them and hoarding off the area is a long way from guaranteeing a new building/development.
