    Brainless!!!!! Should have had Close on at the beginning who can créate things as well as finish things off. Reading the texts of the match, and McCrorie sounds a clogger. Maybe a good athlete but when it comes to football, questions need to be asked. At least he won´t be in the line-up as he serves a suspensión.

    Consolation? Luton lost their first match of the season last year and look where they ended up. Thoughts - I feel Pompey went into the match undercooked given the quality of sides they played in friendlies. They should have put out a full strength side against Aldershot and hammered them and not a third string side that was walloped 4-0. Why play a guy that you have just signed and hasn´t had any time to train with his new team-mates at all. And McCrorie for Close? If there is a target to boo maybe it is McCrorie Hopefully, he will reflect on his madness and put in better performances from here on in.

    A concern is the form of Curtis. He has done very little since his finger injury. Maybe put him on the subs bench and play either Evans or even Haunstrupp on the wide left.

    If you think that McCrorie is a clogger then you are a ****ing idiot and know nothing about football imho. He will be one of your best players this season, that is a fact my friend.

    On another note, apart from his sending off, how did he play today?

    I wasn't at the game, but people are saying he looked a useful player in the centre of midfield. Unfortunately, his second yellow card was due to over exuberance, so he was unlucky to get sent off. Fortunately, he will only suffer a one match ban.

    Hopefully, the suspensión will clear his head and focus his mind. If Pompey are to get out of this división it is by playing better football than the rest. Jackett´philosophy is "direct" football. Not sure that will benefit your man but maybe Jackett will adapt to his requirements as much as he will to Jackett,

    Unfortunately Ides, Pompey were playing good football, but Shrewsbury only had one thing on their minds, and that was to prevent John Marquis from getting the ball, by one means or another. We should have started the match with two strikers, and gone for the win.

    Still, it is only one match, there are 45 more to go. Kenny Jackett will get it right, so don't panic !

    He won't unlock denfences as it were but he will certainly stop teams unlocking Pompey's defence. On another note, are the 6:57 boys(or whatever their name was) still on the go?

    They are basically a thing of the past. A lot of them are now "respectable businessmen" !! There are a few youngsters in the city who may believe they are the new 6.57, but they are merely kids.

    The only reason I ask, a few years(probably 20) ago, my mate worked with a few in London, who I met. Seemed decent guys to be honest, even if they were a bit mental <ok>
