A thoroughly enjoyable game to watch and we were lucky not to have been 2 or 3 nil up by half. Blackpool came out the better team in the second half as town seemed to coast a little, but town still managed a few decent shots.

Highlights were that Clarke is an excellent signing and caused loads of grief both defensively and pushing forwards. Ellis had a pretty good game at the back and dealt with most issues that came his way. Percival-Knight seemed pretty good at left back and Demetriou will have to battle to get a start. Wesolowski and woods did some great battling in the centre. Wesolowski was harshly penalised for a foul, he did pull the player back but it wasnt fully deserving of a yellow. Vincent provided the initial cross that led to the flick on by collins for the goal, he got more into the game in the second half but was subbed for Caton. Collis and Vernon are both good up front and offer differing styles of attack, Collins seems to prefer a ball to foot pass and Vernon seems to have great awareness and control.

did anyone else go to the match?

Let's hope we get an 'interesting' draw for the second round. What team and where would people like it to be?

Clark my MOM. Quality player who has impressed all through pre-season. Played wide right on Saturday but much more effective wide left last night. Shame Caton didn't get enough of the ball to show his pace late on.
