Faith restored, I have watched the full game again and after the poor selection to start the game , LJ's subs ended up with a 3/5/2 formation if he starts the next game with that shape and picks young Patterson we will make the play offs in a canter.
I wouldn't argue with any of that. Particularly if Johnson persists with 4-2-2-2. We need mobility in the whole team, and wide men who get back to support their full back, and vice versa when we are attacking. It's been mentioned that we are struggling because players can't be arsed, well no one could level that at 09, yet he still persists with the old timers. I would play Leadbitter if we played with three in the middle, but not when there's only two in there. The opposition are easing past our midfield, they know our LB is weak, so they get the ball out wide to their right sided midfielder or full back, knowing that our LB will not be supported. It's then easy for them to get in behind or whip balls in to our box. Most goals conceded are down our left flank. If it's obvious to me and opposition coaches, why can our coaches not spot it?
