What do you think your chances are of promotion this season? Looking at the League One table, I've always felt that there are no teams in this league who should trouble Portsmouth. Prior to losing most of last season's sqaud, I would have put PFC for automatic promotion even though it looks like you will be deducted 10 points. Given the length of the season in this league, do you think that you will at least make the play-offs? Appleton is probably the best English manager outside of the Premiership and I think if you retain his services, you should be able to establish yourselves in a play-off position. Everything seems to be falling into place at the moment for Portsmouth - definitely a team on the way up once the supporters acquire the club.

Ian, thanks for kind words, but I'll be more than happy with a mid-table finish end of the season.

We still don't own any players apart from a few home grown youngsters, so until the matter of ownership is finally clarified, and we come out of administration, we cannot sign any of them on long term contracts. We must be in a position to do this in early January when the transfer window opens, before other clubs try to lure them away on more lucrative deals than we can offer !

If we are lucky enough to make the play-offs, I would be amazed and truly delighted <ok>
