We've had a lot of luck with the goal and I feel sorry for the Shrews. But from a selfish point of view it's a very good point for us given other results yesterday and despite our poor form recently we're in a strong position for what's shaping up to be a really exciting run-in at the top of league 2.

It's also made it more of a challenge for us to get above you though :(

some interesting stats for you, accrington might be using some guile to sneak their way up. Note - This is a form based table

From where i was stood the goal that ainsworth supposedly got was never in a million years a goal and jenny's right the keeper did brilliant to get over and keep it out.

However, on the balance of play a draw was a fair result. Shrewsbury's wingers gave them plenty of width and looked very threatening and harrold completely suprised me he was god damn awful at wycombe but he had a decent game i thought and gave both winfield and johnson plenty to think about. Defensively though i thought shrews looked vulnerable but wycombe kept hitting it long and leaving the forwards to isolated which is why donnelly should have come on a lot earlier. No one took control of the midfield and thats why the game was quite open we need donnelly or a more attacking presence in the middle for all bloomfields graft he doesn't do that.

If you said to me before the game would i have taken a point i would have, shrews need to play 2 to overtake us and by not losing we keep them at arms length with one game less to play, the bonus of it all was that results went our way as well but more importantly the performance was alot better and makes our trip to bury all the more interesting at this rate

Maybe they should introduce eye tests in the linesman and refereeing exams.:emoticon-0112-wonde

Just thought. What an advert for Specsavers. They could use that clip.

I never thought Harrold was 'god damn awful' at wycombe to be honest. I think his confidence was shattered as he took the majority of the stick for a poor team effort last season. There's a chance he could help another team to promotion so give him his due...he may not be League One material but he does a good job for League Two sides. (See also previous whipping boy Zebroski!) Was it a goal? The ref he say yes!

I'll give harrold his due that at the start of his time with wycombe he did look alright. But it wasn't just last season that he was bad it was the second half of that first season as well he barely scored and that is what he is in the side to do and he didn't.

Ron.. I'm pretty certain Specsavers sponsor the refs in the Scottish Premier League (?). :emoticon-0126-nerd:

I can confirm Specsavers sponsor the refs in the SPL. However they are still ****e too. Ho hum. Swings and Roundabouts though, we're all the vicitims (and benefactors) of crap decisions, and I'm pleased with the point.

If they sponsored League 2 Jenny they would get murdered. I can see the advert now. It's a goal! And he went to Specsavers? Oh dear, should have gone to Snazzy Specs.

Whenever i think about matt harrold, i remember him trying to walk the ball into an empty net against rochdale, or his ability to get outjumped by 5 foot 6 defenders. Not to mention how many fouls he managed to give away. He was awful and i'm pleased he will never play for us again.

He does provide the other team with free kicks rather than his home team, i think he needs acting classes. Perhaps we should by him a Grant Holt DVD.

I totally agree mate, the title is Chesterfield's but the rest of it is anyone's. I do think we're gonna be one of the three though, especially if we can build on today's result. Hope you lot still get up too, at the expense of Shrews or Stevenage<cheers>
