so here we are back in 20th place, thanks to 10 seconds of stupidity from our marv. our visitors had a great start to the season, then faltered, but a couple of recent wins have seen them steady the ship, otherwise they would have been in 20th place or worse.

on my local news last night i saw yeovil's young foley take his goal. he looks useful.

i will be suprised and delighted if shrews get more than a point tonight. come on you shrews
 
another point, shrews may make progress if they watch their discipline, it is possible frustration is the cause. but many more displays with 4 yellows and a red will have town travelling south.

we need this one to stop us from falling in the bin, and to be honest these are the sort of game's we really should be winning. I for one is quietly confident of a hard fought win

Could not make the match as I had a ticket to see Rhod Gilbert (good choice)....but phone kept me in touch (prayed he didn't see me!). At 3-0 I couldn't work out whether tears were laughter or the Shrews score!
Losing at Portsmouth was no big deal and until then had never lost by more than a goal in the league, so to see us shipping three so quickly was bad news.
The goaerial post is interesting....do have a read!

Hereford: GT seems to think us playing them is a financial life line....but if we can only take <700 fans then even at increased entry prices that's less than 15% of their debt. As it says on their site it's the halving of their fanbase that's cost them. Best of luck to them too.
 
leaked six goals in two matches, with not very much punch up front either, we were absolutely dreadful last night in all departments...only just a couple of points off the bin after 14 matches, a 1/3 or the season gone and we're in free fall....me need players quick!!...
 
Good go at the crowd prediction KDS, though Lenny beat you by 1! Not so good on the score though.

Now the dust has settled, and there's been time for a period of calm reflection, I've concluded that we really were as crap as I thought at the time. Horrible, horrible display. A handful were OK, or maybe it was just Weale and Summerfield. The rest were poor beyond belief.

Attack has been a problem all season, with only Morgan seeming able to take it to the opposition, and Parry every now and then. Last night we were non-existent in attack and didn't even deserve our consolation penalty. Gornell, Winnall (who at least has the excuse of an injury) and Bradshaw (who at least ran about a bit) might as well not have played for all the threat they carried.

Defence was also shambolic last night, just to even it up. Three unopposed goals for Yeovil from inside our 6 yard box. Just horrible.

In the 1st half, Grandison broke out wide and put a low cross into the box. Nobody was there, except a Yeovil defender. In the 2nd half their winger crossed low into our box from the same place. Nobody was there, except a Yeovil striker. That was last night's game in two nutshells.

Did I mention it was horrible?

I put up the poll to make the end of season results more statistically reliable being the stats freak that I am. The performance was terrible, no positive at all.
 
No offence Lenny.......just felt so sad last night......would have settled for 0-1 if it had been a good performance!
