i write this thread without an ounce of cofidence of shrews winning, let us look at the opposition walsall

just at the moment i do not think shrews have the guts, morale or confidence of mounting a win over walsall. my initial reaction was a 3-1 win in front of 6990 with 2 for morgan and 1 for parry, if shrews can be bothered i go for a 1-1 draw parry 6044. prove me wrong shrews.

now if anyone has heard the rumours may i say i have never met james saville and he certainly nerver f*cked it for me. floreat salopia and pip pip!

Well i said give it 10 or 11 games to see how things are panning out, and ive got to admit not very well as we are only 2pts off the drop zone, but never the less, i think we might scrape a 2-1 victory on Sunday as we are due a "good day", so ...

i suspect kds may be right with the score but not the scorers. i hope he is right on both. aj is heartened by reading on b and a about the parlous state of gd of bury, scunny and h/pool. with points to be deducted at some stage from pompey, perhaps our lucky lads will stay up without relying on the flotsam and jetsom beneath em. go get em shrews.

late late news-----moths have been spotted leaving the chairmans wallet at a rate of knotts. can we expect a statement soon from our man from ellesmere port! lua lua!?
 
I say 2-1 to the Shrews with Hall coming into central midfield and opening the scoring for us and Parry getting the winner. Crowd of 6500.
 
I really hope Pompey get their deduction. I have sympathy for the fans, but they way that their club has been so badly run and still may well get away with it is preposterous - even now, they got creditors to accept a CVA of 1 pence in the pound and then go signing players like Akos Buzaky and Luke Rogers - hefty wages on top of that trip to Spain!

sadly shrews are now in deepest doo doo. without playing today they have dropped into 21st place, a relegation place. so tomorrow 21st plays 11th. no pressure lads, town needs 3 points. help! and er floreat salopia!
 
yes, after 10 games we would expect to be a few places away from the drop zone, so it will measure our bottle on Sunday (1) if the players have the metal (2)does being in the drop zone hurt them enough to kick start their season(3) are our players good enough to be in this division...I expect every player tomorrow to die for this club, any shirking from their responsibility and they should be shipped out....you say pressure AJ but in reality this is of their own making and they should live and die by their own ability....i don't care if we win,draw or loose tomorrow, but i want every bloody player to run,run and run their heart out and show their paying supporters that they are just not here to make up the numbers, one season in this division is not acceptable with week in and week out of crowds over 6000...and Rowland get your hands in your pocket and start paying some decent bloody wages !!......
 
shrews have a game in hand. shrews have a gd of -1 equivilant to walsall and pompey, shrews have already played many of the top teams. shrews are brilliant, er that is it

Bottle of cider atcham, that, barring an injury enforced move, Bradshaw doesn't get on before the 70th minute!! This is a big match and we will play it safe!!!

It still hurts about Ben Davies (no, I don't want thim back unless he fancies retiring in Shropshire); the money needed to keep him was peanuts but it did prove a point about our financial proberty. Reckon we would have come up a season earlier but for the lock(s) on the purse. We don't need debt but I'll bet we are quite 'comfortably off' right now; unless there's something we don't know about!

Anyway, as a glass half full man, I am confident we will end up around 14-16th by end of season (keep this post as I may need to be proved wrong!!)
 
westons vintage cider reminds me who scored the last goal for the shrews. er was it young tom in a reserves match last week?. best play those in form graham, as when did the first team score?
 
what the shrews need, and has been missing so far this season, is a damn good team bonding exercise on fairbourne sands. whilst roland is oiling the clasps on his chubb minisafe wallet and refilling the hipflask, graham can be leading his squad up and down cader idris, prior to walking to dolgellau for lunch. amwythig am byth and floreat salopia!
 
I will soon start my 80 mile drive to the game. I echo your sentiments Tinned hats - we need every player to give his all this afternoon . I hope Jacobson is fit so we can put Richards back into midfield to get a creative spark. I would also play Hall from the start. Floreat Salopia - lets light up SKY!
