Stupid from Burgess, runs through on the keeper and gets a second yellow and is sent off. Not what we needed.

Just how important that 2nd goal will be, time will tell. Been our story, dominant most of the game then a moment of madness can throw it away.

We've been trying to pass the ball into the net this half, I feel like I've been screaming 'Shoot!' for 25 minutes

Is there a way to restrict your posting rights during matches?

Not much fresh analysis to offer. Typical Ipswich. ☹️

Other scores have gone our way, many points dropped and we fail to see a game out again.

And that's what you get when you don't score a second goal.

Disappointing second half, crazy action from Burgess for the second yellow and not enough players pulling the trigger on a shot on goal. It was scrappy and disjointed and we didn't deserve to win that game.

Strong 1st half, nothing from Shrewsbury then scrappy 2nd half, red mist descends, man sent off, and they start to play for 10 mins and grab a draw. That's football for you and we have lessons to learn.

How many games have we failed to see out a comfortable win recently? Too many easy points dropped.

Next season may not be the walk in the park that everyone expects. The defence is no longer solid. The momentum was derailed by the injured official and we were lacklustre, playing at a training tempo. McKenna made a terrible call to put Thompson at centre back. Norwood is not in shape. At least we can put this season to bed. That is about all.

FFS 'the defence is no longer solid' Edmondson is out injured and Burgess has done a decent job up until the red card, hardly been conceding goals left, right and center!! Can you really blame the defence for that goal yesterday<doh>
Stop being a fecking drama queen Yorkie!!

Are you joking? 100% can blame the defence for that goal - there was no closing down and awful marking. Everyone was asleep, including Walton. We were lucky to get away with a draw. The defence was wobbly last week too against Cambridge. We are not going to be getting auto promotion if our results crumble when one first choice player gets injured. We should have gone to a four with Donacien in the centre and Thompson at right back. We were relying on clean sheets and we can no longer rely on that.

People need a reality check. Yes we can play nice passing circles and we’ve got a handful of good players but this is Shrewsbury and Cambridge. A hell of a lot of work to do in the summer. McKenna needs to try some different formations and give some youngsters some minutes. If we only have one way of playing it’s very easy for the opposition to figure that out and frustrate us.

I shall be focussing on the cricket for a few weeks now. I trust MK to know what he has to do in the Summer. Top coaching trick is to teach players to have a go at scoring anywhere outside the area. They had one decent crack, and scored. Simple lesson to be learnt there.

I remain confident about next season, even tho with some big clubs coming down. This was MK's first half season in charge.

It’s no good to have a pot shot any old time - players need some intelligence to know when they’ve got time and space to take a touch, when the ball is sitting up nicely to hit a volley. Messi’s incredible talent is to slow the game right down and analyse what’s in front of him without giving defenders a chance to intervene. We need to try to do that more - only a couple of players have that ability at the moment - Aluko and Burns. It needs drilling into the rest of them.
