How could a so-called striker look confused when the ball lands at his feet with the goal right before him? That second half moment was rabbit in the headlights stuff. Could he have been part of the Morrisson deal so as to get him off Toad face's wage bill? Maybe Sam wouldn't let us have Rav without taking him on too?
Thats a bit naughty queeny mate as u actually said that we need just a few quality additions (no **** lol) and we will be ok as every leicester fan will agree with. Not one leicester fan would say we are good enough with current squad nor would any team be that got promoted As for Leicester fans wanting Pearson out then dont tar everyone with that brush mate me included. Beimg realistic qpr fans are no less fickle than us or anyone else and after imploding last season and almost missing out on play offs there would always be some that were not going to be pro pearson. Luckily fans are allowed opinions but thankfully that counts for nothing and our wonderful owners stuck by him. Under no illusions it will be tough next season but there are some poor teams up there too. I see its now changed from us crumbling this season that never came to fruition to decimation next season .. ure a good lad queeny. Always make me smile. So anyway who do u hope to get in the play offs? Anyone but wigan?
What do u class as not doing much in the PL? Id take 17th right now I though the same about hull abd palace now look at then.
I saw only the first 60 minutes from the match before i have to go to work. If Morrison or Austin ( or Doyle, Johnson &Zamora) had played as a striker instead that Maiga character we would have been at least two up before i left. Why Redknapp choose that A/B team against league leaders is mystery to me, but they played quite well against that almost inwincible Leicester team. When i saw the result from the match i was quite honestly suprised because Leicester looked medicore against our "reserve" team. Nugent was the obvious scorer and with Knockhart he was the only threat IMO. Something in todays match still gave a little hope to me considering future play offs. I dont know what it was but i feel much more confident than before the match. Congrats to leicester with job well done and good luck for the next season ( you know you gonna need it) . Are we going to prem with you it will remain to be see....
It makes no difference where you finish in the play offs you silly sods It's different football It's cup football If we don't win the first match over two games then **** this club I have better things to do in France Totally pissed off and never been lower at QPR for many many years
DT makes a good point but draws the wrong lesson from it. What exactly about the last twenty years leads anyone to believe we can win a Cup game? It could be worse, if it was a real Cup game we could be paired with the team that finish 7th in League 2 and still come out second best. There was a lot of debate on here about whether Austin should play as well as the usual (valid) questioning of tactics and selection. I'd like someone to answer me what on earth was the point of playing Maiga and then putting on SWP in the second half when clearly neither have a hope in hell of even making the bench. Am I being naïve in thinking that when you have the aim of gelling in time for the Play Offs you should be playing your first eleven for much of each game - how else are they going to develop an understanding and play effectively as a team? Not to mention build up their match fitness and sharpness in front of goal. I dread to think how many changes will be made for the Watford game
the is the whole point isn't it? Yesterday almost a nothing game and resting best players makes sense to me. Form means nothing in play offs and even with form we could turn up and play absolutely ****. Who bleedin knows what will happen.
Hello cheery man. And the answer to the questions? 1 Can QPR win a Cup game? Your evidence for that 2 What is the point of resting our starting eleven? There are precisely three games to go and they've hardly played together. 3 What is the point of SWP? 4 What is the point of Maiga? Didn't like Tony Blair because he was a sound bite man. Convince me to shake off this gloom at our impending doom.
1. We got to the finals of the Play offs at cardiff (even though we eventually lost, we won the way through 2. So we can take ful advantage of a potentially weaker side on Monday rather than trying to beat the champions on thier own ground and risk injuries. 3. So he can run really really fast 4. So he can run really really really fast! hope that helps?
I fear that old ma Puctsee's advances have had a profound affect on you DT Footspa. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/249367-The-worlds-hottest-ticket
Have to admit that I found some of the posts on here mildly amusing ... if a little disingenuous ... ...we struggled to beat your reserve side? ...OK you rested some, perhaps had some out with injuries ... .. we played a formation with a lone striker for the first time this season ... which I can only assume was down to injuries ... we didn't look particularly comfortable with it ... so I think that brings some balance to playing your reserve side ... and begs the question why your 'first team' hasn't put you in a better position this season ... ... yet if you'd had a decent striker you'd have won? ... ...might I humbly suggest you go and watch the Sky highlights... we certainly had more chances and if it had been Vardy with King's chances then you'd have conceded three ... our defence has been characteristically mean all season ... .. we are a bunch of whinging divers? ... we have some very quick skilful players who draw fouls, admittedly purposefully at times ... but only a tit does what BAE did yesterday ... no thought for 'the team' ... ... the challenge on Mahrez in the dying seconds looked to be a penalty from where I was sitting (which admittedly was very close to your fans so some way off), he could have squared it for almost a certain tap in or indeed have shot but he appeared to be clipped ... just my view... ... we will get murdered in the Prem next season? ... perhaps, who knows, but Hull and Palace are doing OK and Cardiff are still in it with a fighting chance ... my own view... optimistic, the majority of the starting eleven are good young players who will only get better ... the last time we went up Mickey Adams signed a load of 'experienced' squad players from other Prem sides and, predictably we came back down ... I'd much rather have our current scenario ... ... we'll all be crying for Nigel Pearson's head by Christmas? ... now I was in favour of replacing him in the summer (particularly when it looked like Martin O'Neil might be in the frame for a return) because I was baffled by his inability to manage us out of a run of 17 games without a win and some of his selections during that period (I understand more of the latter now- there was an underbelly of disruption amongst a group of certain layers - now all moved on) ... he has proved me wrong beyond my wildest expectations and I, and others, have been happy to readily admit this on our forum ... now I won't be crying for his head no matter what happens next season ... as long as he continues trying to play the exciting, pacey, attractive football that we have enjoyed this season... 79 goals scored is the main reason we are where we are and, believe me, we have not always been clinical ... I'll happily pay my money to watch us lose as long as we are playing that that same approach next season ... ... don't want this to be too Leicester centric so I'll end on a hopefully positive note for you guys ... as I've posted elsewhere, you are my prediction to come up through the play-offs because I just feel you have the better quality throughout when you look at it man for man ... and Harry already seems to be manipulating his pieces with that play-off campaign in mind ...
Almost nothing game! We needed a result to make certain of getting in the play offs. We still need a point to be certain of being in the playoffs. First things first for me. If Arry rested players yesterday against a team with nothing key to play for when the next 3 can all be against teams desperate to win he took a big chance. We don't look like scoring, Watford and Millwall are.
Sorry for the delay Yorkie. I'm just back from a Battle reenactment/festival type thingy. Biggest ever held in the Country apparently. Clontarf 1000 years ago this weekend. Anyway, to address your points Sir: 1 Yes. Evidence: We've done so this season. And our record in the Playoffs is good. Officially undefeated. 2 Because in case you haven't noticed, every time we play we pick up an injury. Its wrap them up in cotton wool time. As it proved yesterday, it was a very astute starting line up from Redknapp. That was actually the most balanced looking midfield I've seen all season. If someone half decent was up front instead of Maiga, we would have won that game IMO. Did you watch the match? A very good performance it was. 3 He's played well this season. He's found his level. Handy to have to spring off the bench to run at tired defences. Besides, you do know Benayoun was injured at half time don't you? Who would you have brought on? 4 Who would you have played? Will Keane? Or rush Austin back in what was largely a meaningless game? Its about squad rotation at this stage of the season and if you think its appropriate to be playing our strongest side and getting them injured then I'm sorry but you don't have much understanding about the situation we're in. The performance from the team justified the Manager's selection and it gave fringe players some much needed game time. Redknapp has obviously earmarked the Watford game as a priority, ahead of the Leicester match and has utilised his squad accordingly. I actually liked Blair, despite his disastrous decision to follow the toxic Texan into Iraq
