It's stranger that the country's national team is split up really. And that was just because they started playing each other as there weren't other teams to play in the late 19th century.

Of course Rangers and Celtic wanted to join the Football League/Premier League. It is the main league in the country.

An English team has dominated the Welsh league for years. The Welsh Cup used to include English sides from the border regions, and ten different English clubs won it 22 times between them. Cross-border, inter-association clubs aren't unknown in Europe either. Monaco are one of Ligue Un's great teams, after all.

Swansea and Cardiff have always been in the English league and they've never been very good, so I don't much care.

Don't you read your own histories? The English were invited to do the jobs that the Welsh couldn't/wouldn't do :emoticon-0169-dance

Which part of the English being illegal immigrants don't you understand ?

We won't go into the murdering, raping, pillaging, stealing, etc., that they undertook to occupy their time.
