@bbcburnsy Got the impression from Steve Bruce that he will make a move for George Boyd but says it's still at the enquiry stage. #hcafc
I think there is a good chance we will get him on the 24th which is only 10 days away in case of play offs
Does the Pope wear a beanie? Does a bear **** in the woods? Koren runs hot and cold and Boyd would be ideal to share the "provider" role with the odd goal thrown in.
It looks likely that we are going to go for him, but with only ten days to go, we'll now wait until the 24th.
Gedo's second half performance may have made Bruce think twice about bringing Boyd in now and risking not having him for the playoffs
It would appear that its just down to a time and date. Nothing to stop all the paperwork being signed up now and just post dated to the 24th is there ? Shame that the Posh only have an away game @ Millwall (tuesday) and Birmingham @ home on the 23rd ? At least Boyd can say his goodbyes in that game.!! For now, Boyd would be lucky to get on our bench especially with news that Bruce jnr is available again.
If you say so. Its not ludicrous at all. You forget the strength of the squad. But each to there own i guess. All players incl. Boyd have to earn a place in the matchday 18. imo
I hear there are a couple of clubs abroad (one Danish and one French) and a League 1 club that are interested in taking him on loan, but I don't know what the international loan rules are abroad so the former might be bollocks. But you're right, he won't play for us again unless it's a two minute cameo appearance at the end of a match we've already won.
We can loan a player out internationally but we can't sign a player from abroad until 1st July. Whether another club could sign him would depend on the transfer windows in their country. France isn't an option as they run a July/June season so can only have a 1 month window at the start of the year so if it's the same place saying all of it I'd assume it's bollocks. Denmark I don't even know if they run a summer or winter season. I'd assume winter like we do, but maybe they run summer to tie in with other Scandinavian countries. If they did thwat then it's possible they'd still have an open window.
