With Ferguson out of the way and City in transition I don't see why we can't next season as we did last season get top 4. Chelsea are at the moment coachless and Mourinho's return is a little dangerous as he parted acrimoniously the first time it could easily happen again.
Spurs have fluffed CL qualification for the past two seasons when it seemed easier to qualify (although last year it was surrendering 3rd place to Arsenal which was crucial). The margins were so small. A tiny bit more consistency would see Spurs in 3rd place. It's all to play for again. Arsenal's finishes in the last 7 seasons- 4th, 3rd, 4th, 3rd, 4th, 3rd, 4th....surely it's time for this cycle to change?
Club Chairman and Management are showing real ambition these days. It is obvious to me that Spurs have set sights on Chanpions Leaque and I think it's now got to the stage were nothing less will do. Who ever it was that persuaded Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen and Dembele to join us last season, either has a very silver tongue or has no intention to relinquish the aspiration of this club in the near future. Hanging onto Bale at this time, can only be another clear indication of intent, and having just missed CL for the passed two seasons running,. I'd be more then a little surprised if AVB is not given extra pieces of the jigsaw to put into place for next seasons push for Fourth.
