Could be the next Van Dijk level player to come out of Celtic, Moussa Dembele being touted for 80m now after Celtic sold him for 20m to Lyon last season, they paid 10m to replace Dembele with this guy from PSG youth.

He scored the 2 goals in the Scottish Cup final to win the match and his late goals won them the treble treble.

Same reason Liverpool don’t steal ours. These players need regular playing time at the highest level they’re capable of in order to be the players they are aged 24 onwards. If a fish higher up the food chain gets involved too early, they either don’t develop the player as quick by playing less, or they break them by putting too much expectation on them too young. Not saying that’s 100% in all cases, but in general, that’s the reason. Also, while some clubs do better than others in this area, not every player makes it to the next level.

I’m really interested to see how much time Djenepo gets this coming season and what he does with it. He’s absolutely got potential, but he’s younger than Mane was, played less, and proved less at the point we’ve signed him than the player we’re all hoping he turns into.
