I see Man U after him. They are short in central midfield, even been playing Rooney there at times. Would be perfect for them but shhhh.

I know we can't keep expecting miracles from Graeme Carr, but I think you're slightly overstating the issue with that comment. He got Tiote for £3.5m, I've no doubt he could find someone for £30m.

Are there rumours? Would make sense after their failings with Moderic and there current form of a relegation battling side. Do what we did with Torres and cash in the maximum you can out of them, just don't replace him with Poulsen or Carrick for -£15m. <ok>

He doesn't get in the team and would they turn down an easy 6m profit if they got an offer 12m. They also need the cash to keep Adebayor at the end of the season. I reckon a deal could be done as long as we agree the deal before selling Tiote.

I don't want us to sell him but if we did, I would only be happy with Daniele De Rossi

If we got De Rossi I'd be chuffed!! Doubt it though, we would have to pay him AT LEAST 60k, at the very least, and also at least 15m fee. Unlikely that MA would do that but we can always dream!

  7. We need another CM to replace him though. If Chelsea come in, I'd ask for cash + Ramires or Mikel.

I just don't understand why he'd go there though. He will be a bench warmer for Essien for the next 3 years at least.

Heh it would never happen. We would need a credible replacement though. Would not mind signing Huddlestone. He is a capable player and would be cheap

As i've said before, if the money is right then the club will sell him.

It wont benefit us anymore than selling Andy Carroll did - the money wont be re-invested into transfer fees so it's all a bit pointless really.

As we've all seen, the improved contracts are simply bargaining tools and show no intent to keep a player at the club.

Do I think we should sell? No.

    Will we? Probably.

Sandro's in the Brazil side now and he's only been out of the Spurs team because of early season injuries and Parker's form.
He signed a new deal in September that runs til 2016 and he'll be a big part of the first XI in the future, in my opinion.

They have Huddlestone and Livermore as well as Parker! They'd defo sell cos they need to sell, they need 15m to sign Adebayor permanently. So they have to sell one/some of the following:

    Defoe
    Pav
    Sandro
    Huddlestone
    Livermore
    Bassong
    Corluka

I don't mind selling if the price is decent but never again in the January window ... selling Mandy nearly ****ed up our season and we had to play the second half with Shola, Loven and Ranger as first choice ...

We made £20m net profit in the summer, plus the likes of Pavlyuchenko and Dos Santos look more likely to leave than most.
Gomes, Bassong and Corluka are probably next one the list.

Sandro's really not going to be sold.
    Sorry.

It could almost be like Kevin Prince Boateng, at Spurs he had big prospects and we never saw him...Look at him now, looks class. <yikes>

I'd be more worried about us selling Krul in his current form... Tiote wouldn't be a great panic buy purely because of the ACON. Not much pint in panic buying someone who's going to be off for a month!

Disagree. He has done a solid job, made no mistakes, but Cabaye is nowhere near his best with Guthrie in the side. Not that I blame Guthrie for that, he's a completely different style player to Tiote, but Tiote's ability to control play from the back really allows Yohan to go forward more

I was going to say the same, but in fairness look who we've played while Tiote has been out. Cabaye was hardly likely to be tearing apart Man City & Man United like he did Villa etc. Guthrie & Cabaye are definitely a different sort of partnership though; a good one, but a different one and I'll be happier when Tiote gets back in the team because that means Cabaye will get more opportunities to go forward at least.
