I've told you I'm Nigel Pearson and you're going out on loan for the rest of the season to Huddersfield!
Huddersfield? Oh well, LCFC will pay my wages so I couldnt really give a ****. (But I really am Nigel Pearson).
Not looking forward to seeing Holloway in the Premier League again, someone on the BBC live feed said he should become England manager at some point, god help us.
He would make a suitably comical scapegoat for our national team's inevitable future failures. A great ex-England manager in the making, right up their with McLaren and Taylor.
Do you genuinely believe we should have stuck with Ian Holloway. Forget what he has done since but he took us down (Not that I blame him solely) he spent more then enough money and had more then enough games to keep us up. He signed no end of crap like David Bell, Zsolt Laczko, Gabor Bori, Barry Hayles, Ben Alnwick, Jamie Clapham and Lee Hendrie. We couldnt win back to back games all season and played awful football to top it off.
Never said anything about sacking Pearson! just asking for opinions. Just wonder were we would be now, if we had gave Holloway a close season to prepare a side for a new season. Yes he brought in some bad players but he had only one transfer window and we were in trouble before he came here, they were panic buys. Sven and Pearson have spent a lot more on players! My eyes must be failing me because i have seen some s***e displays this year at the KP
From what I remember, when he joined we had approx 20 defenders, 2 strikers and 1 midfielder. He had a January transfer window to sort things out with little money available. He tried to pull Hungarian rabbits out of the hat, and for 1 game (against the chavs) looked like he had done it. He failed, and was rightly given directions to the exit door. Looks like he has learned from his mistake. Hope other managers can as well.
Matt Oakley 1M Steve Howard 1.5M Barry Hayles 250K Thats nearly 3M which is still a considerable amount for a championship side to spend, especially one fighting relegation
I expected us and Leeds to get the automatics that season - if Beckford hadn't been injured at a crucial stage that would have been how it turned out - why - because comparatively that's where both teams should have finished. Not 'foregone conclusion' nothing is ... but 'most likely' yes definitely ...
