I don't think it's something you can teach really but it's bloody confusing though how strikers work. Look at Simpson, when warming up before the start of every game he bangs in almost all his shots yet he finds it hard to score on the pitch.

Having just conceded ANOTHER 4 goals from s yesterday (thats 8 in the space of 3 weeks), surely you should work on your defence

Having watched us from 1968/9 season I`ve witnessed some cracking strikers play for the club, Chillo, Waggy (the original), Pearson, Hawley, Payton, Deano, Big Billy, but for natural finishers Edwards was the real deal. I`m sure I`ll witness more in the future at least I hope so. Agreed the transformation in Big Billy from hod carrying bouncer to goal poacher and finisher was astonishing, and when linked with Edwards they were a handful for any defence (ask Liverpool), but Billy had the natural size and aggression, Chillo just refined him a little to actually engage brain before fly hacking at the ball. Edwards for me chaps, best natural goal scorer, best strike partnership though has to be Chillo and Waggy fed by Butler and Houghton,,,, ahhhh those were the days...lol On a side note Deano`s transformation into reporter, or lack of it, is worth its weight in gold

I agree with everything you say about Edward's finishing but he was also an infuriating player in that for 90% of the game he was completely anonymous.
He only appeared when the net was bulging then he was gone again. Thankfully those moments happened a lot.

I'm not sure who you think you just scored 4 goals against, but most of our first team were on international duty, so congratulations on beating some kids, I suspect not for the first time.

We played one of our first team players, who is coming back from injury, and 3 squad players, therefor the majority of the team are reserves and academy players

So what? It was a keep fit kick about ffs, we don't know a single player that appeared for us, though I do know Nathan Turner, Becchio(penalty). Billy Paynter(FFS)and Dominic Poleon scored for you and that Leigh Bromby, Alex Bruce and Paul Connolly all played. It seems that it was only news in Leeds.

You know Turner (one of our reserve team), you know Poleon (one of our acadamy players), and you 'don't know a single player that appeared for you', Hilarious. Maybe you, dutch doggie do doo's and co should spend less time wumming on our board, and get to know your own players. Fyi, apart from Becchio (who has'nt kicked a ball for six months, the other 3/4 players are squad players, only reason Paynter has been playing for us lately is due to injuries to Somma, Becchio etc

I shall say it more slowly, for those with learning difficulties...

I know who played for you, because details were on several Leeds sites, I don't know any of the players that play for us, as it hasn't been reported anywhere at all, as it was a behind closed friendly that no-one(other than you it seems) gives a flying **** about. Hence my comment that it was only news in Leeds.

Now, in case you're deaf as well as stupid, I'll try shouting....

I KNOW WHO PLAYED FOR YOU, BECAUSE DETAILS WERE ON SEVERAL LEEDS SITES, I DON'T KNOW ANY OF THE PLAYERS THAT PLAYED FOR US, AS IT HASN'T BEEN REPORTED ANYWHERE AT ALL, AS IT WAS A BEHIND CLOSED DOORS FRIENDLY THAT NO-ONE(EXCEPT YOU IT SEEMS) GIVES A FLYING **** ABOUT. HENCE MY COMMENT THAT IT WAS ONLY NEWS IN LEEDS.

    Are we clear now? <doh>

I was perfectly clear before, its not me getting on my high horse or resorting to petty insults. I note with interest from your last few posts that not only have you a comprehensive knowledge of our players from first team to academy level (singling out a couple of our young starlets) but you also follow our sites; a bit odd for a Hull mod, but each to there own!!! I'm far too professional to comment on your state of mind, but would ask you to treat people how you would want to be treated yourself.

I went onto this thread to comment on an article about you getting a striking coach, and thought that the money might be better spent on your defense having just played us twice in the space on 3/4 weeks and conceding 8 goals, albeit at different levels

    Deary, deary me <doh>

I don't know anybody in your academy, those names are just from the limited match reports on Leeds sites, all of which popped up on my Hull City news feed, as they included the words 'Hull City'.

As for the goals we've conceded against you, if you were at the game you'd know it was the keeper not the defence that was at fault.

Probably best if you leave it now. <ok>

based on the number of coaches that seem to come and go, should we have a coach coach?
