Pompey have a good team so I can't see them going down, Donny always pick up a good run towards the end of the season so with a bit of luck they might be in with a chance, Notts forest are getting their act together and Coventry got a good win on the weekend. That leaves us with City, now where do I start.....
Pompey are in turmoil.. more so than city.. donny only pick up points at home.. florist will be ok, coventry have a ****e team but seem to be picking up points here and there. where do we start with city.. hmm
If people on here actually have been and watched the Citys games you will see that the end result doesn't match the game play. City have been playing like Liverpool did against Cardiff. We have been the better team for most of the match but we haven't taken our chances and at the other end we have let in easy goals. Take the blackpool game, the media made it sound 1 sided but we were 1-0 up dominating the game, Chris Wood was 1 on 1 with the keeper, if he had hit the target and scored we would have been 2-0 up, instead less than a minute it was 1-1. Same with his header from 4 yards out, if it had gone in would have been 2-1 and the final result could have been different. Hopefully they will learn from their miss chances and next week things might be different. Its safe to say the next time City win Rovers will lose as it is rare both teams win at the same time.
Going by what you say Andy, City should be able to pick up a few results but their not. Performances is every thing in a team, it shows spirit, determination and togetherness in a squad. I can't comment on your performances because I don't watch your team but from my experience in relegation last season, we didn't show enough passion or togetherness in our performances and quite frankly we deserved to lose so many games as we did. we also failed to beat teams around the relegation places (losses to Dag&Red and Walsall spring to mind). City find themselves in a very similar position as we were last season though you still have to face Notts Forest, Coventry and Portsmouth and they are MASSIVE games for you so for now its too early to say 'you'll be in league 1 next season'.
picking up points when you dont play well is crucial. not picking up points when your playing well is not a good sign.
going by form.... http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2011-2012/form-table/full forest 14th, coventry 18th, portsmouth 19th - will all be safe. donny 22nd and city 24th both relegation form. however donny have 2 games in hand. so......
Dont know if im the only one but this in generally true and not a "joke" but the rovers 606 is just to far to scroll down and i cant be ****ed to look because there is never anything new on there.
stats dont win you games cjs, it that were the case then after dereks first 7 games by now we would be in the top 6. form is temporary class is permanent we will be alright
You post nothing on there, its still discussing Dave Penney on the latest thread.. You will all go missing again soon enough..
