Totally agree, but he did bring his own players in. When he was here I would defend him on most things. He was and is a fine coach and a reasonable manager. I did not blame him for going back, but I did not like how he did it and I certianly dont think a thank you is needed. Still I'm not going to be there anyway!!! So what the **** give him the key to the city!
They did, but surely the budget doesn't affect how the manager encourages his team to play? He could still have gone on the attack and played entertaining football.
Pearson inherited a team that hadn't own away for over a season, and defensively were a shambles when he took over- remember those defeats at Millwall, Cardiff and Doncaster? His first task was to gut the team, then rebuild the defence to avoid defeat- which he did very well.
Supporting Pearson today are you. Why are you defending an ex manager so much. Not because you we're wrong in the summer about the Allan's and had your arse kicked by sunn and others on CI? Bruce had exactly the same budget as Pearson in regards to mcshane, oli and Simmo. That's the spine of a team. Let go of your love of pearson. We get it his dour brand of negative football with us, its what you think makes you a real man.
Or we were in such dire straits we could only sign Robert Koren at the beginning of the season, one of the most sought after players in the division.
Don't think Ash likes him too well.... Ian Ashbee ‏@AshbeeIan Excited to be taking my son Stan the man, to first ever Boxing Day game as supporters. Come on ULL beat block head for me.
