a rumour I have just heard:

Valencia and Barcelona may come to a conclusion to race share the spanish GP. I guess you get shot of the Valencia track every year but then left with an equally boring Barcelona. Even though it wasnt too bad this year.

Barcelona's all right - just needs tweaking.
Abandon the kink just prior to the straight, introduce a changed camber somewhere, widen a section etc.

Yes, I agree with this Bergy. With the more exciting possibilities afforded with the new regulations, Barcelona has gone some way toward returning to an interesting spectacle. But the most important thing to do with the track is to get rid of the Tilke kink, which ruined one of the best corners in the whole of Grand Prix racing and was the circuit's very best aspect.

I can understand the commercial advantages of races in Abu Dhabi and Singapore which spread F1 exposure into more evenly into developing areas and, whatever else they lack as race circuits, they at least have a touch of the exotic about them.

Valencia is I'm sure a beautiful place but that really doesn't come across in the TV coverage, unlike Monaco, which has to stay anyway because of the sheer tradition of it.

But 2 races in Spain when there isn't one in France? When Imola isn't used? When races in Russia and India need to be slotted in? No, get rid of it.

I am one of those who woukd prefer the European GP to be just that. A GP that roams round Europe from season to season.
