    Breezy!
You are acting like a naughty teenager determined to be banned. This is the kind of thread the likes of Breezy thrives off.Kick him off the board and he will sing to his imaginary fellow supporters about being the first to be banned from here.

Look to the start of the season lads.I think we will get far less swanc on here when the season begins.:emoticon-0100-smile

If it's a bit of a laugh and the odd wum comes on from the likes of dulldai and the moosebotherer, WTF call it charity work, a sort of care in the community initiative, but if a serious thread and nothing to do with them, lets moderate ourselves and ignore them, if they don't get the attention they crave, well they will soon crawl back under their stones <ok>

Garage sale? Isn't that when someone has to sell their house so puts the contents up for sale in their garage? Typical Jack then, can't go to proper shops to buy things (Matalan excepted), looking to make good from someone else's misfortune.

Back on thread. They are a regular source of annoyance and contribute little of value when infesting our board like Breezey and Dull Dai.

Wouldn't ban them though. How would you distinguish between those 2 clowns and the okay ones like Mabon, Bongo and others who WUM a little but also make some valid points and send us the Cheese Quiz?

I prefer Proph's point of ignoring them and they may go away. Trouble is you might not know it's an infesting WUM, you think it is someone genuine, you reply along those lines and then you get sucked in. The Weeds have been pretty good at that.

A forum is just that, a place where everyone can have their say. Now if someone says something you do not like you do not have to take any notice and you do not have to reply. Without the response there would be no ongoing remarks that are not to do with football or the team but a personal slanging match. Some forums are dead for lack of posters, it is the banter that makes a forum worth coming for not the dull one sided negative forums.

Swansea got promotion we never so why can`t they have some fun here?

No matter what fans from other clubs say here lets welcome them because...that is what makes our forum great.

That is why they come here.

They do not come here through lack of interest.

Why anyone would worry about some text on a screen is beyond me, there is plenty of good posts to reply to and I never reply to posts that I consider of little importance still if you want to make other fans feel important keep posting threads like this to show them just how much they irritate you cause that will please them more than anything.

The worst thing that can happen to you on a chat room or forum is you post and no one replies.

I agree. I'm finding it very difficult to resurrect the bodily dead over there - or in your case, brain dead.

If you can generate a spark between those two working brain cells of yours, kindly convey the message to your colleagues in WurzelLand that we waitnig to exchange pleasantries to you load of turnip-munching, straw-chewing, smock-wearing twats. <ok>

By the way, this is a serious thread for Cardiff supporters - Over and out..........<laugh>

Some fair points there JCK200, I like wums myself, banter is the soul of the football forums, especially while we wait for news of signings or during the internationals.
It just gets annoying when you have a thread interjected with meaningless jibber from the more moronic type.

We could police it ourselves by using the no retort method I guess, but everyone would have to know that its a no retort article and abide by that.
Again, I guess we could state that at the the start of the article, in that way everyone one is aware it's not for the knobheads to comment stupid remarks.

Or we could just make a sticky of those to be ignored(after fair warning of course) and those will not get the pleasure of an answer on any article on the Cardiff board, now that might work if all were in agrement.

But I do like a wum on the board now and again, and some are quite witty and hold their own, I sulate them.

That is ridiculous. Occasionally people who express a contrary view are considered to be WUMs. Last week I expressed concern about the quality of our signings and was accused of being a WUM. Utterly ridiculous! If we all agreed with each other this forum would serve no purpose.

Well, I've been away for a few days (so, why is that relevant?) and have been catching up on all the threads but left this one till last. Some interesting and varied opinions.
We have a few regular visitors who seem incapable of logical thought or reason (I have these on my ignore list because I know nothing they say will have any substance whatsoever) Others, I think, are harmless and as mentioned above, provide amusement with their lack of wit, originality etc (although even Dai has the occasional moment of clarity...providing you compare 'occasional' to Halley's Comet :)). WUM's will come and WUM's will go but to ban them all would be practically impossible and I think unnecessary (jmo)
So why is me being away relevant? It's the decent thread disruption posts that I think are the main source of pissing people off but I'd have to be sat here 24/7 to delete them all which isn't practical or possible (...or gonna happen)
I have no control over banning anybody and can only request Joe F. Uckwit (I know his brother, Jack) be banned from here which then has to be justified. There are a few reasons whereby a ban would be initiated by the forum admin (Proph's impersonator is an example) but to my knowledge, with the exception of a few QPArse ******s, nobody has come close to 'crossing the line'. I've found a PM usually results in a reasonable response though I've yet to PM a complete tool yet....you just know its gonna happen one day :)

So whats the solution? Personally, I don't think there is a definitive one.

If you have your 'favourite' person/s, you can add them to your ignore list as I have.
Certainly a total blank would eventually make someone crawl back to where they came from but this would require a board wide agreement which, again, I don't think would happen which leads me nicely into my last suggestion:
I could create a sticky thread, call it something like 'The Bluebird Bar' and move any appropriate wum/****wit posts and any responses in there as and when I see them. For those who like a good wum battle they can go in there, moderation free and enjoy. Those who don't can stay off the thread. Although as we all have different opinions this couldn't just be at my discretion. If you see something I've missed or you want moved, let me know and I'll move it.

    As I said though, it's just a suggestion.<ok>

hey sussex, good to see your back in good health!:emoticon-0148-yes:

without wum's the forum would rot. Lucky for us cardiff failed again and provided us with ammunition to use. Truth is, cardiff and swansea supporters wouldn't have it any other way. Would you rather Qpr were your rival instead of us, if that was possible ? i sure as fook wouldn't! :)

These forums cant survive without WUMS, we would start arguing amongst ourselves, sad but true, fractions would develop and chaos would soon reign.
It's just a nusiance having to put up with the "Thread Spoilers", the one line jockeys and debate hecklers(those who put their 2p worth into that which is none of their business) but we put up with that because the rest of it is great, and some wums worth the effort.
Not to take it too seriously is the best, it's just text at the end of the day(cliche) and try and end things by wishing each other a good season might help. <ok>

Interesting to see some holier than thou posts here. We had John Hughs to put up with last season on 606 - absolutely vile individual. We've also had CityArse1, bluenojack and a number of others who have jumped all over out board and hijacked threads as if it was a sick hobby.

Good and bad on both sides. As long as it's not too nasty and personal then wumming is the soul of these boards. Personally, I don't post too much these days as I'm not too keen on this format. Can't help myself dipping in over here though after what we had to put up with last season from morons like the ones mentioned above I just can't resist it.

As you tumble through the leagues and the gap between our clubs widens, rest assured I'll lose interest in you. ;)
