Spot on - I went to Majorca last year with my 2 kids (9 yr old boy and 3 yr old girl). If I'd left them in the room and the little one had gone missing, would the authorities still be ****ing about trying to find who took her? Of course not - the finger would've been firmly pointed in my direction as a working class father with no money and, chances are, I'd already have been locked up for it. Are we going to be having a minutes silence for her in 25 years as that's how it feels!

Surely the police would have searched this land thoroughly when the kid went missing? If they find some remains now, there will be hell to pay!

I'm 100% sure that if the girl had been a fat ugly ginge with Asda glasses and a glued on onesie the media would've lost interest by now. Because she's the doctor's little princess with a cute smile and lovely clothes she's perfect for a front page every few months. The girl from Leeds, Shannon Matthews, was nowhere near the 'box office' that Madeline is and the media were barely interested I recall. It wasn't until it became a 'scumbag working class family neglect kids' affair that the media decided it was a great story.
I'd agree with that mate, the McCanns have managed to feed this story for so long because they come across as nice people, if they were toothless scruffy losers they'd be getting grilled and accused off everybody, and like you say the media wouldn't care half as much. I tell you what, these 'lasers' will probably find some other dead body in that patch of land and because it's not Maddie they'll probably just throw it back.

That last one is astonishing, if they end up getting money from it when it was 100% their own fault I'm starting a petition.
Ouch! Why do some people believe it's inappropriate to ask questions? Saying "At the end of the day a little girl is missing, that's all that matters" doesn't cut it. There are other questions like, why did one of the 'friends' tell a blatant lie about checking on the children and why did the police not ask why?
Are they allowed to use that money personally for what they please though? I'm always quite open with my thoughts on this, I don't like the McCann parents one bit, I think the whole case stinks and they don't look emotional enough to me, it just looks wrong every time I see either of these idiots. If I'm proved wrong and she was abducted genuinely by a stranger, then I won't feel anything for being wrong about them, as it's still their own fault.
As the British taxpayer are now footing all the bills why isn't half of that immediately donated to the NSPCC or an appropriate charity. That money is used to jet the McCanns around suing people and attending book launches. The best hotels are booked and any criticism is immediately met with legal action by highly paid solicitors. Guess where their fees come from There comes a point where the last few dregs of sympathy are squeezed out of you.
Yet more disgusting parenting... if Maddie is alive and she grows up to find out her parents have been profiting from her kidnapping, how's that going to pan out? They should be interrogated by special forces!
You know what the worst parenting is imo mate? Putting the little lass's 'cuddle cat' through a boil wash .......... as people, on here and elsewhere, have said it's beyond any belief. How could a grieving mother even consider doing something so final and cleansing, makes me shudder to think of it.
I read this thread and agree with the majority. I just feel uncomfortable with my thoughts on the parents - I mean - I don't want to think of what they could have done and are doing now. Does this make sense? x
Because either they fear her body will be found (to be expected if innocent) as it would end hope of her safe return, or panicking coz they are on to them
