Well, yeah - that's because you have access to the automobilsport host site. Not all of us do. The original corner (turn 13 I think - the Europcar corner) is still intact. Only Formula 1 uses the mickey mouse cutout. It wouldn't take much to reinstate it but I fear they will keep it simply to have the DRS detection zone close to the activation zone. If they reverted to the original but had DRS detection at turn 10 there would be plenty of scope for the car behind to fall back a little in turbulent air round the fast corners. Then DRS activation on the straight might not make overtaking so easy because the chasing car would have to catch up as well as get alongside.
This will be very interesting. Based on Vettel's qualifying lap in Turkey, and the fact that he couldn't take turn 8 flat out suggests that the cars don't have as much downforce as last year. The faster lap times are probably a result of the DRS and KERS. Red Bull will definitely have the quickest apex speed through T9 in Barcelona, but I don't think they will do it flat.
I think the Mclaren could take Turn 3 flat last year, and despite the lack of a DD on this years car I still think that the RB7 has got more downforce that the MP4/25, so they should be able to take Turn 3 flat this year.
I get the feeling that the change we'll see next year is a shortened DRS zone. But I wish they'd do something about that damn stupid chicane, maybe use Bernies shortcut to straight line it
They've got a little bump at Turn 8 to stop people cutting the track as they always do at that corner.
