Not really, it was just that your comment was factually wrong - can you see that, or do you need assistance?
Win, lose or draw really doesn't bother me that much, providing players have put in the effort. I watched us in the late 80s and 90s, so I'm very appreciative of what we have now. But FFS I wish everyone at the club would seize the moment. In pre match press conferences of late Bruce sounds like a manic depressive, how can he motivate the players when he sounds rock bottom? I just ask that the players put in maximum effort and provide a modicum of entertainment. At the moment I'm not finding it remotely entertaining and I feel some of the players are taking the piss by not even putting in the minimum of effort. Skill then becomes less of an issue. A **** team with each player giving 100% I'm sure will nearly always beat or match a good team with players only giving 60%. More effort and more urgency required. As the Allams claim they run the club as a business - I am amazed that they are allowing it to limp along in this fashion. Our points total so far has us in a very false position - I don't feel we have played anywhere near well enough to have 10 points - we are at present very fortunate.
For me Bruce has lost the hunger and his disire to succeed , getting relegated has put him on a depressive downer and he can't motivate himself never mind the players He's talking the talk in interviews but in reality he is not there , he is miles away He will be a pundit on ESPN American or Premier League foxsports or something this time next year
For all those who can only resort to abuse against Steve Bruce on this Forum I suggest you read the following article from the BBC website. It's OK to have an opinion - that's what the Forum is all about - but let's back the opinions up with facts rather than abuse. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34152962
It's a good article. But, football is a results driven business at the end of the day. Everyone yearns for success, whatever level they are at. With the players at our disposal we should be performing better than we are, it's not so much about results for me, as there is always another team in the equation that has an affect on the result. The performances for a long time now have been well below what I would consider acceptable. Karl Robinson seems like he's destined for the top - he seems a very astute manager and he's done a good job with MK.
He's really not getting much abuse, he remains a very popular bloke, he's just making rather a balls up of things at the moment and has been for a while.
For what my opinion's worth I think he's looking pretty fed up with the whole shebang. I voted for him to stay and think it's too early to start wanting him out but he looks burnt out to me. I also think that people believe that we played like Barcelona every game in our last promotion season when for periods of that season we were utter ****e but still managed to go up. The two games at the end of the season against Barnsley away and Bristol at home were as bad as you'll ever see. Fits and starts is this league, we were never going to run away with it but the style of play is a bit of a worry.
