What harm do they really do?

The site has a history of sock accounts and some are funny (Village Bike)

Other come and go and it's a bit of fun so should we resolve the issue by freeing the socks?

Sort of depends what they are being used for.

If they are being used to comedic effect, like Village Bike, and everyone realises it is a sock, then yes.
If it is being used to parrot your pathetic WUM attempts at Arsenal, like Saintsfan08, then no.

Is sock discrimination a form of racism?

You should get on this sock thing Ginge, I think you'd catch a few people out.
I’ll be honest I have been tempted in the past but never could be arsed to do it. If it’s only for fun and people know it’s a sock then I suppose there is a comedic value but using them to bolster your own posts and target people with spite is an entirely different matter.

I've always done it for the fun aspect of it, nothing wrong with it.

Are odd socks a problem or should we embrace the diversity?

We should embrace the diversity unless it gets daft ... overload of TV adverts with mixed socks .... should be natural.... reach into sock drawer and pull one out ... reach in again, pull another one out ... how do they fit?

More difficult for the likes of @HRH Custard VC ... one of his feet is 3 times bigger than the other and slightly webbed .... living proof that early inhabitants of Kidderminster mated with axolotls... also explains why he often goes round and round in circles <cheers>

You can say what you want Skiddy, we all know how you went into desperate mode when Hiag was getting under your skin.

Anyway, when you do create a sock account, try not to brag about imaginery friends on YouTube, that'll be a giveaway <laugh>
