Why bother, he rarely says anything interesting in any press conferences anyway. That's not a dig at him, but the "system" where everyone in football is so scared of being honest and speaking how they feel, so we all end up with drab PR filtered soundbites.

He may as well speak Inuit. In fact, I demand he does so.

Which sounds best "The wheels are in motion and everyone wants to be on the bus." or "Las ruedas están en movimiento y todo el mundo quiere ser en el autobús".

and when people say its refreshing that people like Joey Barton & Robbie Savage "speak their minds", they are falling into the same trap as the dull soundbites, because those two are just attention seeking bellends.

I'm struggling to think of anyone in professional football that I actually find interesting. Same goes for football pundits. It's just noise.

Having recorded the BT Sport build up to the chelsea game, I watched it later and almost threw up a number of times. Does anyone fall for this "most important match in each team's history" bullshit?? All the bloody artistic slow-mo pieces with a cinema trailer voice-over are utterly ****.

The best TV build up to games is when they have about 5 minutes before kick off. Tell us the teams, quick summing up of key points, get on with the match. Simple.

He shouldn't speak Spanish in press conferences. Nor should he speak English. He should speak Klingon.

David Salas <smooch> is the voice of Mauricio. Didn't sound right when MP spoke in English at the awards evening. Maurico says that we would get simple answers to simple questions if he conducted the interviews in English.

How could I cope without seeing David's cardigan and scarf choices.

He should do it in Italian. Then I would understand.

Pochettino and Salas are probably best looking managing duo in the Premier League. Why change them?

Isn't that part of our problem? Bring in Redknapp with Steve McClaren as his translator and we'll start getting calls.

Made me chuckle yesterday when radio Solent interviewer asked : "Was todays game a game too far over the congested xmas period" or something to that effect.
Interpreter : "I don't understand question? What do you mean too far."

To my certain knowledge, Alex Ferguson never spoke to the press in anything resembling English. It certainly worked for old purple face.

I suspect that our indifference to this is because we are pleased with MP (temporary blip aside, we like what we see)....would be different if we were playing badly as well. We allow Mauricio his little foible.
