The scale on left makes it look worse than it is. If I am reading that correctly we are only £6m worse off when revenue has dropped by £10.5m. I have just had a liquid lunch in a beach bar so quite possibly I am reading wrong
'Transfer debtors / creditors Bristol City is a net transfer debtor, meaning it is owed more in transfer fees than it owes. Bristol City is owed £11.5m in transfer fees while it owes £7.4m. Therefore, on a net-basis, it is owed £4.1m in transfer fees. ' This one was a positive, on balance we are owed £4.1m in transfer fees
just seen pearson quoted as saying he doesnt trust some of his players,if thats the case perhaps he needs to look at his own performance, hes there to form tactics, choose the squad and motivate them, seems to be failing in every dept and now he seems to be loosing the dressing room as well.
There comes a time when if the manager has lost both the plot and the players then it's time for them to move on. Despite the fact that any managerial change is likely to cause concern at most levels it should be noticed that the world will continue to turn no matter what. Watford on Saturday followed by the World Cup break, taking us a month forward to resume on December 10th, would be the right time (as Wigan has done) to make a change as it would allow the new person to have time to analyze and act accordingly if needed. Nobody would wish this on us but reality bites in all the wrong places and I can't see any reason why we wouldn't wield the axe due to poor performances on an all too consistent basis. The biggest problem, as always, will be who is available to do a better job, but even more problematic is who would want the job based on our checkered history of mediocrity? Does Steve Lansdown have any viable irons in the fire other than Warnock?
A few years back I would have had Warnock without any hesitation. Now however, he seems to have lost some of his ‘fire’. He’s mellowed and become softer (nicer!) and I don’t think he has it anymore I’m afraid.
LJ left July 4th 2020. It seems everyone thinks he left last week. It’s boring as **** that everyone wants to refer everything back to him and 65 signings bollocks.
The reason they do is because they said he was rubbish and inexperienced. So, now we have the experience and we are much worse off really jars with the haters!
We have 7/8 decent championship players the rest are average to poor.Unless those 7/8 play well week in week out we are always going to struggle. The squad is weak.
But Nige has had the opportunity to put what’s wrong, right and has failed to do so. Funds is not an excuse either as it’s not how he works.. He’s brought players in, not sure overall the difference they’ve made, we are still down the table and still inconsistent.. The players we have up front and most of midfield have always been here, what was required, was sorting out our defence, whether it be tactical or personnel..which he’s failed to do..
Good job we still have some of them here, not sure how Nige would have managed otherwise.. what signings of Niges would you say have improved us? The lack of funds BS doesn’t wash, it’s not how he works..
Luton seem to be doing ok with LESS funds than us and after losing their Player-of-the-year - to US (but don't let that fact spoil the haters' party!) I would give up 1for - some people will continue to hold LJ responsible for us failing to reach the Prem - until we do - even if that takes 30 years. It's no coincidence that its mostly the same people pointing their fingers at him now that hated him as a player. Some people just simply hate him. End of. You can't make people suddenly like a certain type of food - or colour - or music - Bristol Rovers - or Lee Johnson - it's in the blood I'm afraid. It must be comforting for Nige though - knowing that all his mistakes are someone else's fault............. LJ must be his best mate - I hope he buys him a beer!!!!!
Whether they hate him or not..There is no denying that he did a decent job for us and some are just too red misted to admit it!!
I'm sorry but I am going to have to get my violin out after I have wiped the tears from my eyes, everybody is entitled to an opinion and long may it prevail.
THIS STATEMENT is based on collaborated fact so no one can disagree .. we are in a much worse position than when DH was replaced ............. let aLone poor old LJ or SC
