Hopkinson...

"I don't have a stance on his future," he said. "What I can tell you is that the derby loss hurt.
"We take it seriously. There's nothing within us that thinks, 'Well, it's just three points and on we go'. It has resonated.
"I spent a couple of hours in a one-on-one lunch recently with Eddie and we talked through a multitude of things, including that.
"Eddie is our manager. I expect to have a great run to the end of the season here and we will talk about the future when it's time.
"Right now, we're focused on this season's competition."

To the question:

"Should Newcastle replace Eddie Howe?"

I answer that it all depends on who is available and willing to replace him. I don't rate many of the managers in the PL as better than Howe. If someone such as Nagelsmann is willing after the WC or Emery get's bored at Villa, then that is a yes replace him, but a Silva, De Zerbi, Iraola, Glasner, Frank would not enthuse me at all, I just don't think they'll do any better. So in essence my answer is either "no, but..." or "yes, if..."

Same goes for the players. It's not worth getting rid of Pope, if your replacement is Dubravka...

I find it interesting it's "if we don't get Euro football".

If we don't have europe next year then that would be more of an argument to keep him since he can do well when he has no Europe to worry about, it's when we have the fixture congestion that we suffer.

Making what eddie howe does to a team work with 3 games a week would involve a massive squad due to the impact of the intense style on the players.

I think it's time for a change, but only if we can find someone a level higher. If not then just keep.

Perhaps EL or ECL qualification would be more our level for now as you can play your fringe players in the early stages.

Just let him go at the end of the season and get someone in who can work with technical players and not just sprinters.

Can't handle more than 1 game a week is pretty damning by the way.

Yeah, you should really stop posting,. You dont add anything but abuse. Why dont you state why Howe should be kept on after wasting £250m and once again showed he cant handle more than one game a week.
<laugh>....if you think that's abuse you really need help. It may help if you take a long, hard look at what you continually post on here. When you've worked out how pathetic it comes across then you may work out why most of the posters are thoroughly p!ssed off with your antics.

I really dont give a ****. Ban me or ignore me but I will keep posting. Not my fault you cant handle a difference of opinion. Try picking your head up from sucking off Howe and you might see what is happening :1980_boogie_down:
