Lennon is a mediocre manager at best - he's no Martin O'Neil, or even a Strachan.

If he did walk away - where would his next job be? TV pundit? After dinner speaker? Doing driveways?

ST in rewriting history shocker. Are you denying that Strachan was never popular with large sections of the Celtic support?

The OP could very well be something you read on Follow Follow, people blaming Neil Lennon for the 'baggage' that surrounds him.

I have to agree with Nev. 606 was full of ****s for 4 years saying ****e like "He's no a Celtic man"

I liked Strachan but it was time for him to go. He has one tactic and it got found out.

we certainly do need some experience in the spine of the team.......I think that argument also applies to coaching/management/tactics....I`m struggling to think of a team with less experienced management and assistants than us.

**** sake I remember you ****s wanting Walter Smith sacked because his football was boring

Strachans teams were terrible but somehow rangers teams were far worse

He became a yes man for the board

I still can't believe we won 3 in a row

Bullshit. The baggage I was referring to is himself and his own behaviour. It was also, I thought, an interesting topic of conversation which is what this site is for right?

I never said he was popular or unpopular. Personally, I disliked his boring brand of football which seemed to consist of waiting until we were a goal down then running around like mad men trying to score two goals in the last ten minutes.

But to suggest the support "turned on him" is utter bullshit. He was treated respectfully by the vast majority of Celtic fans, right up to and including his final game in charge.
