I knew this is going to happen. What about giving him another chance?. Though he had little to do, we all knew we are poor in defending set pieces..

Loris Karius set to keep gloves for trip to Swansea
    Chris Shaw @shawct

Loris Karius will retain his place for Liverpool's Premier League trip to Swansea City as Jürgen Klopp continues to assess his goalkeeping options.

The summer signing has been between the posts for the past two matches - straightforward wins over Derby County and Hull City last week.

Karius was rarely troubled in either game as the Reds maintained their scintillating attacking form and will therefore be handed another opportunity at Swansea this Saturday.

"He can play against Swansea again, I already spoke to the goalkeepers, they know it," said Klopp.

"We had a game at Derby, what can I do? He did not have 500 balls, just two or three balls. Against Hull, I'm not sure, not too many balls.

"Of course, to understand how a player reacts in situations you need the games. We don't have the games in the week so we do it on the weekend and then at a specific point we can make a decision because I know the goalkeeper position is different than the centre-half position, for example. I know this and I respect this, so we'll see."

Simon Mignolet was the man replaced by Karius - and Klopp was pleased with the Belgian's response to the situation.

He added: "Simon is one of the best professionals we have. Like I said a few times, before the game there is only the decision. After the game if someone wants to talk about it we can talk about it, but before the game nothing else than the game.

"If he wants to talk we can talk, there's no problem, but it will not be a problem because I know him. We cannot promise line-up positions. We can only say we made decisions, use them."

so basically klopp needs to see karius actually do his job and not just play ball boy fetching the thing back for the cbs.

So... yeah.. you can play til you have a save to actually make son.. I'd say the lad is going.. hope the next few are this easy again.

    .........................

also just on the last point in the piece. . thats not the first time klopp has said that and why my Sakho is done IMO. Klopp has been clear on several occasions when he decides he decides you are expected if on the bench to go focus on what you can do to be ready for that game if required to come on etc and then rock up Monday and bitch if you feel you could have been on.. not sue social media like a twat.

Everything is about the match, you are expected to focus on that and leave the rest at the door til its done. If you are on bench... well be ready. I would love to have seen how he'd react to ryan babal with no shin pads, not boots, not shirt on... the guy took at least 15mins to get ready to come on every game.
