That really bugs me when people say the ref didn't give a penalty for the way he fell.

I'm sure we've all played football here, you can see if a foul is a foul, if someone has dived and deceived the ref, more shame the player.

If a player is getting battered most games and doesn't get the decision because of the way he fell then football will become a joke.

It's even more of a joke when Webb and the FA uphold a red card for Carroll after Flores simulates contact to the face etc. etc.

The whole 'exaggerated fall' thing is because when players do try and stay on their feet they very rarely get the decision.

Not all fouls knocks people to the floor, so when you get one of those fouls you have to deliberately fall over with makes it look unnatural obviously. Then they complain they went down easily but if they had stayed of feet nothing would be given (like Suarez at Spurs)

Or you could stay on your feet and carry on with the game and maybe make a goal scoring oppertunity?

Yes ideally, but what if you're goings way from goal, or you're in a position out wide where a free kick is more advantageous than playing on?

    Think this says it all........

England’s World Cup referee, Howard Webb was removed from a celebrity website advertising his £4,000-a-night after-dinner speaking following accusations he was “losing his focus”.
Webb was listed as a client of the website www.comedians.co.uk – an agency representing numerous high-profile figures from sport, politics and entertainment – but describing itself as “the one stop shop for comedy”.
His fee was advertised as between £2,000 to £4,000.
The official – who was criticised for his performance in Arsenal’s 2-1 FA Cup victory over Liverpool on Sunday – promptly had his name, profile and any reference to his speaking activities erased once it was made public on Monday morning.

I am sure this si the cut out system ferguson used to give back handers to webb (ha ha) Makes sense (tongue in cheek) cos 4k would be a nice going rate for a favor or two.. 10 dinners a year at slur alcy's house? hmmmm...

they've just dropped him due to a lack of demand.

Still too big for him, any prem game is too big for him.

Drop him to the Conference or lower until he grows some balls.

Interesting read but can always look at these things fro both sides and stats never tell the whole story.

Some bits that stick out though are that he's never ever given a red card in the first 15 minutes of a game in his career. When was the Eto'o stamp against us..
Also since the WC he's only given 1 crucial penalty in the last 30 minutes of a game where it could have really made a difference. If we'd have known this before we could have all not bothered appealing for the Suarez one <laugh>
