you had to trawl that one up didn't you?

BREAKING NEWS: My mate's neighbour's dad, who's a blind alcoholic & sometimes picks up litter at Humberside Airport says some tanned footballer type, possibly Alvaro Negredo was going through customs check this morning, some official looking bloke was there to meet him and word on twitter (a reliable 13 year old source who's a massive Tony Warner fan) says he's meeting Nigel Pearson in Paragon Station later on. What's more Real Madrid are reportedly willing to exchange him for Bullard over a 2 year period..

That would be great. It's worth pointing out he only has 5 in his last 2 seasons though...

How often do we sign guys who have a good record only for them to do sod all? Be nice for it to work the other way around.

He might be saving them all up for when he plays for us.

Yeah, not like he nutted Sunderland's right back and got himself sent off in a game we couldn't afford to lose.

I getcha. I'd disagree though. He arrived on the back of some outstanding performances at that Mickey Mouse tournament for the USA and was disappointing overall.

Glad we have Jack Hobbs in on a permanent. Will work well with Chester again. Just hope they don't get caught out for pace if Dudgeon and Rosenior inevitably bomb forward and leave them exposed. Actually thinking about it, I think Chester is pretty quick if memory serves me well.

Chester is no slouch, but his main attribute is his reading of the game and his decision making. If you can predict what will happen and act appropriately, as a defender, you don't need extra pace.

Did they actually play together at CB? I thought Gerrard was pretty much ever present.

Are we still waiting for the official transfer news? I've been glued to the OWS all day and not seen anything. I'm very disappointed. :D

It's just come up on SSN and Skysports.com.

"Skysports.com understands that Hull City are set to complete the double signing of Paul McKenna and Jack Hobbs"

Is this the first time that fans that have been complaining about a lack of signings, expect a triple signing, but are going to be happy if it's only a double signing?
