You are a prize tit mate. You might live here but you know **** all about the place pre your arrival except what your mummy in law has told you.
So you are disillusioned with football in general? I'll say again, how will your idea improve turnout at local clubs by local people: Either they already do as their "2nd" local team when thay cant get to their main "glory" team (your interpretation not mine) In this case you are reducing the clubs revenue from the same spectator. They dont go to matches at all so it wouldn't matter anyway They are so die hard about their "glory" team that if they are paying 300 quid to travel. board etc. 20 quid more than locals isnt going to stop them coming and "depriving" another local supporter of the ticket anyway and they still arent going to go to their local club games. As I say. You are trying to change the unchangable. The elite, rich clubs will remain so, will appear more on TV, will by doing so attract the big sponsors and so attract the non local supporters to be fans. making the 'not so successful' teams in the surrounding area poorer will not allow them to compete, You are are the one romanticising about a by-gone era Im afraid; not Page.
I can't believe this thread's still going not since Barfa has anyone been such a divvy on our board (apart from UIR obviously but I don't count him due to his mental age issues).
What the hell was that cut and paste , where does it say that in the 60's loads of Irishmen came over and watched Liverpool , all it states is fans taking the cattle the cattle boat nothing more nothing less? Do you know long it takes to go from Cork to Dublin and then the ferry and then the train/coach to Liverpool how many made that trip frequently ?
How do you know they watch their 2nd team ? They tried that with Tranmere playing on a Friday and it did not work , they came over still and ignored their own . And the population of the Wirral as whole is 320,000 and the NorthEnd is about 180.000-200,000 approx .
Its not designed to stop people from outside going its designed for people to go locally as its cheaper to do so and gives the opportunity to people from around the area to go to a game who would not ? I repeat is we were all like cling ons from afar there would be few teams who existed , thank the Lord for the loyal people who support their community .
You haven't listened to a single point made over the last 6 pages have you? Maybe you should go out and do some "community work/service" as I'm pretty sure spending two days acting the twat on this thread has done little to help your "local" club or community. Practice what you preach and all that
That was started in Jan 11? Like Billy said you have not considered any of the posts from anyone, you have an oinion and it looks like your sticking to it so it's pointless carrying on with this thread.
But when you get shot down by the middle of page one how do you keep arguing a point for 6 pages? Not even I'm that boring Frank This fella needs to get out more.
Shot down for what ? Its obvious most on here are day trippers defending their position of being a cling on , fair play , the only way to do it .
