Is Messi world class? Just asking because, like Landon Donovan, he struggles to drag a much stronger Argentina side to finals but, like Rooney, he is still the key player at his club side, both of which are current champions of their respective leagues.
The international argument is complete pish. The winner of the ballon d'or for what is it, 3 times in a row? Barely shines for Argentina. Rooney IS world class.
I'd love the Oxford English dictionary to make an entry for 'World Class'. Something along the lines of; World Class - a, entirely subjective and made up term. b, something utterly pointless for football fans to bicker over. c, load of bollocks, frankly.
Edit; e, anyone who plays for, or who ever has, Liverpool (unless said world class players happen to leave in circumstances unacceptable to fans{see also world class fans}) World Class Fans; a, Liverpool fans and only Liverpool fans.
It's getting a bit tricky now as I could myself offer up George Best as an example. At the end of the day it's not so cut and dried. However, he (Rooney) doesn't come close to Best or Messi.
No, I mean we're talking about Rooney. If you want to talk about who I think in the Spurs side is better than Rooney I'll glad tell you but go start another thread. That way, I and others can all join in. Should make interesting reading.
You will prbably spout some utter **** about one of your players being better tnhan rooney, but as we all know they are ALL unproved at the top level, a level you will not get near
It's all about opinions and it would seem that you can't handle those that don't match your own. As for getting to the top level in the future, nobody knows what will happen and you make yourself look very childish by writing this kind of thing
Just to get back on topic, having been lucky enough to have seen George Best play many times, in the flesh , Rooney is still nowhere near his level BUT he is still the best player at United at present and should be the last player we should consider selling !!!!
You cant answer that question because you will either admit rooney is better than bale or you and your opinions will be rendered invalid Case rested
Didn't i say start another thread and i'd answer? Or are you too thick to follow simple instructions? How can an opinion be rendered invalid? I suggest you look up the meaning of the word "opinion". You're seem to be really out of your depth on this forum. I suggest you try looking for a Sesame Street forum instead altough on second thoughts that may also turn out to be a bit too challenging. Good luck though.
