As an outsider, it honestly seems that way - I do however LOVE Glasgow and Glaswegians, sorry if it appeared I was have a go at the urbanites there. I take the correction folks from you and Dev. I've joined this section recently and I love the anarchy! I've also read and participated in some intelligent debate (excepting that cretin, Rebel of course), a lot of it is quite terse and even harsh at times, but mostly good natured fun.
Fair comment Myrtle. As Stereo said, there are of course Glaswegians who indulge in this sort of rancid **** and plenty of them but I think it's safe to say that most of the really worst ones, diehards if you like, are not from Glasgow but Ayrshire and Lanarkshire. There are doubtless historical reasons for those being the areas which becoming breeding grounds where this stuff flourishes but like most people I don't care why. I'm sure there are other places too which are hotbeds for religious intolerance and that's all I meant by my original comment. Glasgow imho is one of the places where you would have to search hard for a real bigot.
