Excellent idea... why not? Might also stop players deliberately getting themselves yellow cards because they know which matches they will miss.
Possibly, but only Chelsea are close enough to pose any immediate threat and they hardly seem to likely to mount a convincing challenge any time soon. Both 'Pool and Toon lack the requisite consistency to catch us, and Arsenal are, at best, on a par with us, in terms of current form, although I'd say we are marginally ahead. If we have ambitions of winning the title - and I think we should - we need to concentrate on catching £ity, rather than worry too much about looking over our shoulder.
He had turned away but was turning back when Balotelli made the stamp. Contrary to Neville I'm not convinced he was focused on the incident and he certainly didn't see all of it. please log in to view this image
The best way for Webb to try to get people to believe he isn't pro Man U is to favour Citeh v Spurs. It also does Man U a favour in increasing the margin between Spurs and Man U. Webb will have plenty of chances later in the season to get Man U the top spot. It's time he retired.
You're team has become famous for bottling over recent years... Come to think of it, so has your manager
Surely if anything yesterday's game showed that we are fully capable of beating the league leaders at their own ground, had we had a little more luck and a lot more justice. Even if we do lose Modric and Bale at some point, at least we will get decent money for them and be able to get quality replacements, unlike your club and Fabregas. I do admire your admission that Arsenal are terrible though.
No real injuries all year - with the following exceptions... Tom Huddlestone Michael Dawson Vedran Corluka William Gallas Ledley King Sandro And that's before the knocks the likes of Lennon picks up in games, or Kranjcar and Pienaar pick up in training. Also, how does coming back from 2-0 down before getting Webbed count as "bottling it", exactly? If we "bottled it", we would've thrown in the towel at 2-0 down. Also, is it really wise for a Gooner to talk about players leaving in the summer, given Van Persie is now publicly disagreeing with his manager during games for all to see?
Please do not try to argue with this Gooner wum. He is not interested in honest debate, only in venting his spleen. Let him vent, my friends. It does not change the fact that we are now the most powerful footballing force in London (not merely North London), and could well remain so for quite some time. I'm more concerned about topping United (our nearest rival, now) than I am in engaging in petty debate with a suicidal Gooner. Let them continue to argue and fight among themselves and debate just how much of a clown Whinger has become. We are above all of that nonsense.* *Although, for the record, I will simply state that Whinger is now probably the biggest clown in English football since the days of Benitez.
If you actually knew anything about football you would be able to see that Defoe's 'miss' was Bale's, and not his fault, on two counts for a) not passing sooner, and b) playing his eventual cross too close to the goal.
Lennon's missed 9 league games already this year Kaboul's only first choice after performing so well. That's the difference, players like Younes, Livermore, Defoe, etc have all stepped up to the plate and performed whereas your players have wilted in front of your booing fans.
VdV, Parker and Lennon have all had injuries this year "Ledley doesn't count as an injury because he's always injured" I suppose the same counts for Van Persie when he's injured then.
Dawson was our first-choice centre back until his injury, after which Kaboul stepped up. The fact that like-for-like rotation is made impossible due to their immediate replacements being injured also means we have to play them even thoguh some of them need a rest, because the only other options are youth team players. That's unheard of because it's untrue: Lennon and VDV have had injury lay-offs this season, Parker's missed games with knocks, and Modric merely missed the start of the season due to Chelsea tapping him up. Four points in our last three games is four more than your lot have got (and three more than the Mickey Mousers, for that matter)
I don't think that some people who write these things appreciate exactly what we, and everybody else in the Prem, are up against. So, with the team we have we should be winning the title, eh? Not as easy as it sounds when your up against the virtually unlimited resources of a team like City. We are talking about a Government owned, and financed team, here. A team with not just hundreds of millions, but billions at their potential disposal. With the limited resources we have, we've done bloody well to even be challenging for the title, let alone winning it. We can't do what City can do- I.e. just buy the title!
O.k. To be fair to Webb, you have to see it in slow motion to be sure. But, when you do, it's blatantly obvious that it's deliberate. The FA Have that available to them, let's see if they have the balls to do something before this ****ing idiot really hurts somebody.
