Just an unbiased opinion, mate. My flatmate was at the game and is adamant it was deliberate but the question asked is whether or not he should be banned and, as you can't be sure there was intent there, I don't think he should.
Stamping a foot, hard, backwards, where you know your opponent to be... Not intentional? Do yourself a favour, please, mate!
I think it looks different in real time than it does in slow motion. Like he "planted" his foot in case he had to untangle himself. The doubt might be enough to escape a ban.
I guess that's subjective to whoever at the FA decides these things. I just don't think that Balotelli is intelligent enough to within a millisecond have the idea of stamping on Parker, a player he's got no beef with that I know of, and fall over in a way to make it appear so innocuous. Even if the suits decided he probably meant it then it's a dangerous precedent to make imho, much like Barton's sending off versus Norwich was. As I said, purely my opinion and I've no great love or hate for Spurs or City, I just think it would be harsh to give a four match ban to someone when one of the world's top referees (sic) had a good view of it and with all the replays in the world you can argue it either way.
Watford, have you ever heard of a un-intentional stamp. Honestly.... Come on... Even a horse knows when hes picking he feet up.
Surely your not suggesting that the fella has less intelligence then a common horse or goat, are you ?.
Webb will probably say that he did see the incident but deemed it accidental - therefore no retrospective action will be taken. Perhaps Webb needs to be stamped on 'accidentally' - might knock some sense into him. What will he say about Lescott's forearm smash. ? It was so obviously a deliberate stamp. Bollockstelli can't claim that he was falling -how did he manage to 'fall' forward a do a couple of forward rolls after ' planting ' his foot backwards onto Parker. yeah, right - and Lescott was trying to fend off some low flying pigs.
Yes your right, what I really meant to say was, F*** O** you whinging C***, and why was'nt King sent off, scissor tackle?
"Why Always Me?" Cause you're a dickhead and a thug. The prat should be banned along with Lescott. Could not believe they got away with those fouls.
It looks to me like the ref DID NOT see the stamp. In this vid, Webb is watching the ball as it spun up in the air, he only turns his head back to SP/MB after contact. One 'o' them lads! Bit more desire awareness and urgency from Defoe (he was slow to react to Bale's last surge imo), or a slightly less hit cross from Bale and we wouldn't be discussing any of this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHg0M1ukzE8
I used to wonder what the Chelsea fans meant about you lot, but I understand now! win the league, your having a laugh. Parker got what he deserved, dirty little C***! By the way who's taking training this morning now your Bent, Twiching C*** of a manager has finally been found out?
Is it ironic that you're showing all the class of a Chelsea fan. Harry Redknapp twitches because he nearly died in a car crash and suffered a lot of nerve damage.
Well I can understand both fans defending their own but I don't have an axe to grind with either club and to me the stamp and elbow were both cynical and dirty and I think there is a good chance that both will lead to a retrospective ban. I believe if there is justice in the FA it will happen. Penalty was nailed on but not particularly dirty.
Marbleless skyblue - do tell us what unfortunate accident you suffered that causes you to now permanently talk out of your arse.
