It would appear that great posters such as Tewks, Franco and DVDDD have left the forum, which is a great shame. I intend to continue posting because there is still a host of good lads on here and also in the hope that the trio mentioned will return. But I will be very selective and not entertain any dross threads.
when does this poll close? - someone do the decent thing and ban him, and his alter egos otherwise this forum will become like the den - empty.
Ponders, you continue to hit the nail on the head. I've noticed a few other regular posters have gone, whilst others have become less frequent. When the limb is useless you cut it off. When the horse breaks it leg, you take it round the back of the shed and shoot it. The greener fields of pastures new are calling I fear.

i doubt any moderator will actually read this and take any sort of notice, but, i have stopped looking on here as much and writing back because the threads are mostly complete crud - the JA ones that is. JA's rubbish time after time is putting people off. surely this should be moderated? - for the benefit of all other users? its a shame, this forum used to be a good read.
I try to read as much as possible, but without the use of my laptop it is a bit more difficult with my phone. Looking down the forum, I see two posts from JA which can be argued should be placed elsewhere- the ghost one and a scout "report". Then there's the Jim davidson one(unfortunately that is somehow related). The others are about BWP, stacy long, and Alan pardew(again unfortunate). If rules are broken, then please contact me or another of the mods. It might have soured for some, but I'm still managing copious amounts of football talk with some banter chucked in. I too want to point out JA does not have another account under a new name. As a forum "vet", I know every board has a figure which annoys others. But we will be entering a dangerous grey area if we start banning individuals because they are a pain. Some would want A2C and nick banned.. Others wouldn't. Unless rules are broken(which I haven't seen, but please message me if that's the case) then it's not fair to impose a sanction that is permanent. JA- don't use this as leverage to post another apology thread, and please refrain from more scout reports. Any non related charlton post you now send to myself or another mod via private message and we will let you know whether to post it or not. And to the rest, if you feel really aggrieved by anything then let us know personally. AH has noted he can't stream through everything, and whilst I'm stuck on my phone at the moment, I too am limited to what I read currently. Yes this did take ages to write on a touch screen pad . any embarrassing spelling mistake/grammar then I apologise!
the ones related are not the problem. its the sheer amount of crap ones that is. applying the rules blindly is not helping in all honesty. whats to stop people posting about every single ex player? or every single famous charlton fan? or every player that could potentially go to charlton? - yes they may be relevant but not everyone is interested in the brain farts of a "nutnut". Grouping them is one solution and despite suggesting it, it is not implemented. look at the poll results.... look at the activity on the forum today, its dead.
As it stands we have a very successful board for a league one club. Looking purely on numbers we have more posts and threads than all the other league one clubs combined. We must be doing something right...
Good post, SuperC. Surely it would be possible to create another membership using a different e-mail address? I was chatting with Ducker at the Stevenage game and he has refrained from taking part because he is a bit bemused by the JA stuff - and because he is writing up a new travel journal. It is a shame to think that potential new members are being put off by the level of dross on here at times. It has calmed down of late, though, and long may it continue.
I just mentioned though- there are 2 that I would question, but then another 4-5 that are related. We might not like them, but they are based around CAFC. As for ideas being implemented, whilst I thought it was a good idea there were a few who voiced concerns via private message for various reasons as to why they think it would be a mistake. It wasn't one or two, but more than a handful. Some might not agree or like it, but I've solely tried to involve myself in all things CAFC and not JA(this post included). One person wont make this board, nor will they break it. And for all the mentions of names who have left (some of which weren't down to JA btw), there are still many who have been valuable contributors for years. Don't like JA, then block him. If he changes his name to manipulate the rule, then action will have to be taken.
Ponders you are right, there are many ways round many things, however, just keep in mind I know most of them.
